I just read about this on the internet. Prayers that the lesion will be benign and the Ronnie can continue to enjoy the tour and his family.

They don't remove it if its benign, luckily for Ronnie they got it early.

Doctors often remove a benign lesion to avoid the inconvenience of scanning it every three months to see if it grows.

Its very rare to remove it if its not suspicious, i should know.

I think that's a pretty safe bet. Given a choice and all things being equal,they would always choose to tour in Summer in Europe. But we now know that all things certainly weren't equal. Speedy recovery Ronnie and look after yourself sir!

Pure speculation, but its possible it was only spotted because (presumably) the band members will all recently have had their medical/insurance pre tour check up.
I seem to recall many years ago, references to Ronnie's health and smoking.
Glad that he's given up....after 50 years must have been difficult.
I think Bill quit some years ago....maybe only Keith has the habit now?

You lucky beggar Ronnie that you were able to have a full health scan which showed
the need for urgent keyhole surgery in your lung.
Unfortunately for us lesser mortals who cannot pay Private fees it is often too late
before the problem is diagnosed.
Long may you continue to enjoy the twins and playing guitar with the Stones.

Yes most probably, i remember an interview with Keith where he said they have extensive medicals so they can get insurance to tour.
Lucky Ronnie, just think if they were not touring it might have spread over time, and lung cancer has a very low percentage of life expectancy after 5 years.

Hope Bill is doing ok too.
