I once read, here?, that Sister Morphine , to an addict, SOUNDS like it FEELS to come down from a high. To me this is a harrowing performance. Ronnie is just sublime.

but I was at Best Buy store day of DVD release

As a documentary, the DVD is great, but...
I found it very annoying to have the concert interrupted by Black & White footage from the Stones talking about the next (or previous) track.
Also the fact that they took out 3 songs to use as "Bonus Tracks" pi... me off.
So I decided to rework the DVD with the software I have.
As I do not have professional software that can split and join VOB files,
I first ripped my DVD to HD mp4, using "iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe".
Then I cut the resulting mp4 into 7 pieces with "Boilsoft Video Splitter",
to make it easier to work. ("intro+ Start Me Up", the three bonus tracks and the like).
I then used the special features of "AVS Video Converter" to join the parts in the correct order,
to cut out the Black & White stuff (trying to make the transitions as smooth as possible), to make the chapters and finally the menu.
Unfortunately, "AVS Video Converter" hasn't many "menu" options; you can only change the background, add the title (with a rather small number of characters), add some background music to the menu and that's it.
Next I let the software (still "AVS Video Converter") create the DVD.
Due to the fact that I had to convert to HD mp4 first and then back to DVD format, there is a small loss in resolution, but I find it minimal.
Although I worked frame by frame, the transitions were difficult too because of
those damned B & W parts and the "Bonus tracks", while some very minor footage between songs wasn't on the DVD or the first notes were already playing during the last 1 or 2 seconds of the B & W parts.

cut the crowd, cut the talk, correct the playing order, fix this, fix that...
it is like they intentionally created a puzzle to be solved.
All I wanted was SF played live... there is a lot of way to do it.
Mick, next time keep it simple,
your music/band playing stands up on its own without a lot of BS.

Select a Stone (4Flicks) is one of the few DVD gimmicks I ever appreciated. Most of the time I just want to watch my favorite band play without 30-60 jump edits per minute.... and the only crowd people I ever want to see on a live concert DVD is... NO ONE!! Not even if it is me!

I don't have much of a problem with any of this dvd except some of the same minor complaints that have already mentioned above.
My only problem is Ronnie's solo in CYHMK...almost complete overkill that lacks a lot subtlety and nuance.
It starts of decent enough, but then turns into a freight train blasting through a field of tulips...he literally shreds the vibe.
Then Karl steps back in and sort of reels Ronnie back in to a listenable groove, but the damage had been done.
