And everything else to fill out the sound when Keith poses and Ron raises the arms one hundred times per show to greet the audience.

The discrete magic of the synth for the naive fan (or who refuses the reality).

Just skip the Fonda show and everything after '73.
That'll ease your pain and you won't suffer anymore.

Yeah well,
It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll.

Even hire Axl to sing AC/DC tunes when your brother is retarded.

Malcolm Young is not retarded, he is suffering from dementia.
I leave you with your perfect Stones, better and better show after show, Tour after Tour since....

Yes, Keith is better than in 1972. The band too.

Drama has always been a huge part of Stones mythology, so why should fans be any different?

Maybe the bonus material will be clips of audience members asking why the Stones didn't do this on the 50 and Counting Tour with Mick Taylor, Bill Wyman & Bobby Keys. grinning smiley

Why?
Malcolm can't play anymore, that's a fact. AC/DC should have stopped then and there. Now even Brian and Cliff are out and Angus still calls it AC/DC...

I googled "Dementia retardation" and got this:

Dementia Evaluations in Persons with Mental Retardation: They Don’t All Have Alzheimer Disease.

HARD AS A ROCK: AC/DC are a retarded band all in all unfortunately.

I am sorry to break the news to you as an all time AC/DC fan, but this ain't AC/DC no more.

Powerage 78 offended THE ROLLING STONES and the fans and I don't like it. Glad he left IORR.

Back on topic:
Really looking forward to "Sticky Fingers Live At The Fonda". It's going to be another GREAT release!

Edit: Great photo's Christiano!

Thanks for sharing. I see myself and my husband Bill in the crowd photo. He is a large guy and is wearing a tilly hat up front just behind the models on the first row. All I can say is that this was a FANTASTIC concert and we honored Mick's wishes by not bringing in cell phones or cameras. Cant wait for the DVD to come out.

The bonus material will probably be interviews with the fans, held in upstairs studio at the Fonda, a few hours before the show. My daughter and I responded to a call for interviews on "What eacch song on Sticky Fingers means to you?" We told our story about Brown Sugar. Each song was addressed by a different fan or pair of fans. Our reward for doing the interview was being allowed into the show! I wrote a review of the show somewhere on this site.

Needless to say that was one of the best days of my life and I have been looking forward to the release of this DVD. I am probably one of the few people who will actually bother watching the bonus material, though! winking smiley

Hey ripthisbone,

As all time acdc fan who respects the stones, and getting on my nerves with many acdc posts on this forum, I would like to ask you 2 things:
1. Show some respect towards Malcolm and the band
2. Please continue this discussion in the acdc thread, or try sharing your opinion on an ac/dc forum thumbs up

Oh, and you might not know, but Malcolm recorded an album and still played through 168 (!) shows in 20 months, when all the while his condition was already known (to those close to the band only). No one noticed, and it came as a huge surprise to the fans years later, only because the guy worked really hard before each show. How 'retarded' is that?

My point being: we can all feel blessed to be able to see the Stones still live and be happy each time they come out. I bet you will be the first weeping on your pillow like a 6 year old girl if something would happen to one of our Stones before No Filter or anytime after. So show some respect to other bands that faced bad luck and their fans, will you?

I am not defending powerage78, as some mutual respect is in place here.
Looking forward to discussing in person around a beer at any of the parisian shows or in danmark.

Rock n roll Damnation

I believe this is a «lost in translation»-thing. We're not all native english-speakers here.

However, «retarded» was not tactful, and that's a word one should be careful with using, imo.

I tried my very best to find a positive connotation in 'ac/dc is a retarded band all in all' but couldn't.

This is what he wrote: «Even hire Axl to sing AC/DC tunes when your brother is retarded».

With a little good-will, I'll interpret this as «Your brother is set back because of his illness».

In other languages (french), retarded can mean «delayed» and «set back», no?

Well, I don't know...
