Some info I found out is that they are supposed to release two more EPs during the year to make a full album. They are also touring with The Struts.

great find, thanks !
They sound already very good and as they look young, they have time to improve.

They remind me of Rivals Son somehow.

Reminds me of Wolfmother.
I'm suspicious of the kids voice (too good to be true), any live material?

Not too bad, could be better, they're young - maybe five more years locked down in the basement with their Zeppelin albums, and they'll be something to talk about.

Must be their parents, aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers, and cousins making up the audience - not very Rock and Roll! winking smiley

edit: I now see you posted "live in studio 3 years ago"...they must have improved since then...only two more years to go in the basement!!!

I see this band was mentioned in the What are you listening to thread, but I thought I would start a thread about them. I heard about them over the Summer and just bought their CD From The Fires which must have just been released. What an awesome young band. They have several videos on Youtube but I'm not sure how to link.
Great heavy garage rock sound, singer sounds like Robert Plant. Check out Youtube for songs like Safari Song and Highway Tune or if someone can provide a link! Very impressed.

These guys are great!!!!

...I also love their covers... check out Evil (Howlin' Wolf) and Change is Gonna Come (Sam Cooke)

I love them too! A lot of people have compared his voice to Plant's, which I think is a compliment. They're the real deal, IMO.

I think they're pretty rockin'...was really surprised how young and good-looking they are.

Judging from "Safari Song" and "Highway Tune", these guys have appearantly understood something. They are continuing what Led Zeppelin left after their fourth album. I like it, but these days they can`t expect more than a cult following, I`d guess.

It's like a silly copy of Led Zeppelin, maybe fun to hear one or two songs but easily forgettable.

Rather generic sounding, actually - and the singer is not a rock singer, sounds like he belongs in One Direction or some stupid thing.

GVF are young kids that have the talent.
They are all brothers except for the drummer.
They still are in that "deer in the headlights" phase of their career.
Give them some time to mature and develop.
These kids are on their way!

Heard them on Jonesy's jukebox radio show a few weeks ago - an interview and a live set - all brothers except the drummer and they sounded pretty good. They play that one Highway tune often now on the same radio station (KLOS). I had heard them a year or two ago when someone posted a link here, and wasn't too impressed - they were like a manufactured kids band playing Zeppelin style rock. Like a hard rock version of Hanson ("MMMBop"). But since then, there seems to have been a vast improvement in their skills, though still very derivative - almost like puppets. Don't think I'll be buying any of this as I hear enough on the radio, and it's already worn a bit thin. And those vocals - while he may have certain similar techniques as Plant, he comes nowhere near - it begins to sound literally like a parrot.

They're touring next year in Europe.
I hope for them not all audience members will be as ancient as me..

The singer does a pretty good Plant impression, but the riffs aren't quite there yet.

-Can`t let this thread just disappear. Give them some time. Not all the songs from the EP are great. Let them do a proper album.

The smartest thing Led Zeppelin did was quit when they were ahead. The Who have stumbled so much that they've obscured their true legend from the 60s and 70s. The Stones are getting near it. Jimmy Page, if he wants too, should tour with some crack musicians, but don't call it Led Zeppelin. That blimp has sailed.
