I love this song. It is instantly familair and reminiscent of SG and ER, I hope it is released as single.

Hey, I was thinking the same thing as I had it cranked in my stereo on the way home from work today. Great tune. I am really happy with this album in general. There are a couple weak tunes, but when there are 12 or so really great ones, the duds don't matter. AND, the duds really aren't that bad. I think a lot of effort went into this album, despite the arthritic fingers and all that.

She Saw Me Coming is a great tune in the car turned up loud, sort of in the vain of tunes like 'Summer Romance,' 'Lies,' 'Where The Boys Are' and 'Respectable'. And also on its own, sans comparisons.

I think so too. It's groovy and Mick sings great!

told you once and told you twice - it's THE standout track on the album. Best song since Pain of Love 22 years ago.....

We need to hear this one LIVE soon! They should be playing 5 songs from this album at each show. Get some balls guys, we want to hear the new material.

filstan:

I hereby vow to decease and desist all future setlist griping if they put this one in on a permanent basis.

tell me I'm "living in the past" if you like, but this one could have easily been an SG or ER track as someone noted earlier on this thread.

SSMC makes me smile when I hear it...that embodies what the Stones can do like no other rock band...get a happy groove going along with some smarmy lyrics...it's in the tradition of HTW and SMU in that way.

One of my favorites as well...definitely a "Keith" song...his riff and melody...reminds me a lot of Start Me Up...would've been a big hit back when rock and roll songs actually got airplay

T&A,

First time I heard it I thought of Some Girls, Mick's singing on this reminds me of Beast Of Burden, you know the part he kind of talks with a drawl.

It's a great tune...and Mick plays Bass,pretty cool.

I like the overall groove of the song, but the way the phrase "she saw me coming" is sang (and repeated) kinda gets on my nerves. I don't think it enhances the song at all.

I think that's key to the song, but what I dig is the
solo riffing in the right channel that goes on for most
of the tune. Picture those goofy licks as the walking steps
of the guy she "saw coming". Just some douchebag moseying (sp)
along, unaware of what's coming. The phrasing is perfect.

T&A:

Yea, it almost seems to easy that this one should be in the setlist for every show. I hold out hope they will start slipping songs like SSMC in. Keith says the tunes on the new album are perfect to play live, so where the hell are they in the setlist? Not bitching really since the new tunes have been big highlights early in the tour setlists. I keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow in Milwaukee, but I think MSG is gonna get some nuggets or the shows in the winter. The good news is the guys are playing great and the mix is heavy on the guitars. Apart from the ticket prices we as fans are getting much of what we wanted.

Who do we have to petition to get more new stuff in to the setlists?

I agree. This song is f-ing awesome and should be played at EVERY show. PLAY MORE NEW SONGS!!! PLEASE!!! I love this song and it could be a big single. I think it's more catchy than RJ and SOL and the crowd would love it.

The guitars are especially great on this one. Listen to the parts when Keith plays the riff and Woody answers with the slide guitar - brilliant!

Would be a great opener for the shows!
Think of it Jagger singing the words repeatedly from back stage!
No lights on until Charlie bashes the drums and the guitarists roar
their riffs like mad bulls in Pamplona in Spain!

Would send chill down my left spine as they hurl into the song!
Surely will be a thrill to watch and hear!

Been Stoned since 1964 and still am!

Oh - it shouldn't be long before we get polled by Rs.com for some more input that will be roundly ignored. Stay tuned!
