I was at the CBC years ago when Burton recorded Up Close And Alone, and he played that. It made me giggle - both times!
The really funny thing is that I've been doing an impression of Gordie for years and the first time I met Burton, he did it. We sat around laughing at each other's silly impressions.
I cannot walk into a Karaoke bar without hearing this song played within the first 20 minutes of my arrival
Not surprised...I know the women sure love to sing it....especially those into country music

I never consider Led Zeppelin as one of the best rock group of all times, morover, I can stand Stairway to Heaven, and I Like Canned Heat better than Zeppelin.
Barry Gibb is one of the top ten songwiters in pop music.
The guy from Roxette is also a very good pop songwriter.

I love late 60s-early 70s bubblegum music. KC and The Sunshine band, too.
Love Van Morrison, but can't get into Astral Weeks.
I like almost all of Rod Stewart's music of the 20th century.
Truly love Tommy James and The Shondells, as well as Cheap Trick.
Snoop is only rapper I'll listen too - great sense of humor (weed induced?)

I always found it odd that I am not that much into Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin or U2. Now I see that I am not alone!
Not that I hate them but they are more like meh to me... well, maybe I hate U2 or at least 90% of their output.
