Really cool number.
Love it.

Have you ever lent somebody $20 and never seen them again? It was probably worth it.

For the guitarist out there...try playin' the JJF riff on Drivin too fast. It fits really well haha

Listen to my new album on www.bowemusic.nl!

A question for those enjoying "Driving Too Fast:"

Is anyone familiar with the Little Village (Ry Cooder, John Hiatt, etc.) song "She Runs Hot?"

Are there any musicians out there who can tell me if there is a structural reason why "Driving Too Fast" reminds me so much of this song?

Many thanks

It's weird, I know "She Runs hot", but I can't find any real connection between these tunes...apart from the fact that, as Keith says, rock'n roll- just like blues - is about minimal variations to a given pattern. But "Driving Too Fast" rocks a lot more than "She Runs Hot", and I really mean A lot!!!

This should be apart of the b-stage setlist for arenas.

It's going to be used in a NASCAR promotion later this year, so that should give the song some more exposure and maybe get the Stones a few new fans. Personally, I think this is a good song but not a great one. It seems a little repetitive to me, and the riff is a bit simplistic. Ok, a lot of Stones songs I like are repetitive and have simple riffs, but this one seems even more so to me. I would rather they left this one off the album and put it out as a B side.

good call on she runs hot - definitely some similarities. Little Village is one of the greatest assemblages of talent ever (original name of the band "Two Guitars, Bass & Drums"). The foursome also is the core band that plays on one of Hiatt's albums and one of Lowe's as well....

Agree with TatooMe...

I would like to have DTF live on the b-stage..... and IWTL on the big stage...
