whoo hoo thank you georgelicks! There it is. "Drive of Shame"
Big guitar riff....'oh yeah' from mick
slide guitar
very tuff rhythm guitar behind cool brad vocal; really doing good here...

it's htw bacically haha...

guitars great; that steel makes it...
here comes the chorus; nice harmonies; indistinct can't really here 'mick' per se...he's mixed low for the most part so far...
here he comes with a 'driving' all by himself...
more guitars....
here's mick!!!!!!
verse 2!!!!
htw alright! haha

typical, but fun clever contemp country kinda lyrics..
sha yaa yaaa yaaaameee very stones...of course

nice job!!!!! mick does great..i'm expecting the cho of htw haha but it's great no complaints...awww great job. good show Mikey!!!!

harmonies now have mick prominent and they are fun and great...
...last verse really nice singing together
brad is hot as a pistol...almost showing off; but it's so hot and fast some of those run you got to just give it up; it's super playing....

fun, great...super....

well if someone was to judge mick's performance or appearance here i'd have to say Outstanding; great; very fun; perfectly carried out; a lot of heat and fun;
a great job...should be a huge radio hit and i hope it is....if it crossed over that would be fabulous but i do ['t think programmers let that happen...
good show Mick!!!!!!!!!!

a few on that level of production, delivery and expertise and we'd have a Stone LP lickety split. they ought to record in nashville; get it done in a week or two; including the pick of the best writers...
someone's gonna call pop fluff; and in a way it's so predictable i could sort of see why
but as a hit radio song in the summer; or a great party or dancing track; in that realm of a two or three minute hit single; it's a grand...
...it's more than just takin' grandpa out for a little walk; mick does very well here...
he is actually singing here. and singing with a guy who has a beautiful dynamic tone in anothe register that deeper and has it's own command, bu Mick does just great here; putting more than personality into it; he's doing his rock and roll thing and it's super...his voice sounds great to me.
it's sort of 'lightweight' by design; if i accept that and go with it it's a fun rock track with great country guitars and Mick sounds wonderful

Sounds like Hank Jr. meets Garth Brooks meets the Black Crowes meets Keith Urban meets the Georgia Satellites meets Toby keith meets the worlds greatest Stones covers band...
throw it all together and there you have it - The Drive of Shame!

Thanks, georgelicks!

This kinda cliche-full, way too obvious-sounding country pop rock, no matter how big it is in America, has never been my cup of tea, and most likely never will be if the hell doesn't freeze soon or something extraordinary like that happen, but yeah, not bad at all (that's what the English say, semantically the equivalent to American English of "that's great!", right?). Always a joy to hear Jagger's distinguished voice, even though I would do without the trademark dandish "oh yeah" in the beginning. Probably he sounds a bit thin, but still he has that strangely cold edge, so British-like, with that certain irony, in his Americanized delivery.

But about the song - I don't know how many times I would need to hear the song again and again, and still wouldn't recollect anything of it afterwards. One ear in, one ear out - no trace left. Muzak.

I guess you'd need to see Mick dancing on the stage to see how he'd be shining on this. Fine, he sounds okay. But how does this illuminate what we really want to hear, that is, a continuation of the Rolling Stones?

I mean. are we interested in the sound of Mick Jagger's voice, to the exclusion of all else, or are we more interested in Mick Jagger's voice as a sound of the Rolling Stones?

Twelve years we've been waiting for new songs, and if it's not Doom and Gloom it's a doo-ette with Bad Parsley.

It's Mick Jagger trying to reach new fans through younger artists.

Someone should remind Mick of why he's famous, and what he'll be remembered for: it won't be his doo-ettes, that's for sure -- and you can take that history book to the bank.

Nice to hear the whole track - thanks, Georgelicks!

Mick sounds fabulous. He's in another league vocal-wise, than Brad Paisley, hehe.

This is pop music, though, albeit with Stones-sounding guitars and Brad's tiaras here and there. But it is indeed only country-tinged, simple pop music.

Well done, Mick!

Listened to the whole album on Spotify and while I'm a sucker for "Rockin' Country" (like Leann Rimes, Shania, some Hank and of course Waylon in his day), man is this country by numbers...the highlight might indeed be the Mick track ! I though the guy was a guitar slinger but there's little of interest guitar wise, the stuff he did with the Stones was rather more remarkable IMHO.

As for Mick's voice being heard here rather than on a Stones' album. Yes of course if the album is worth it but it's a great voice that we love and it's a bit sad that we don't get to hear it more often because one day, and that day is closing in on us, it will be gone...

Agreed. But he once was the opposite; songs like 'The World' or 'Ticks' still put a smile on my face.

I do like the Mick track. It's fun. And Mick sounds great.

What song?

Easygoing song, good on radio and good on summer festivals. Fits the purpose.
Just like "Don't Stop", for example.
