TO ALL ROCK CRITICS FANS OR NOT

Everyone has the right to say what they want about the A Bigger Bang. Now all i have to say why care what some balding old man has to say about the rolling stones. Critics are just a bunch of English majors who couldn't get a english teaching job or become a famous writer. They also couldn't hit it big with their band that was highly influenced by Velvet Underground or whatever band that didnt sell records.

It's the rolling F'n Stones, they have sold over 200 million albums, they have more money than any rock critic and they are loved all over the world. Jealousy could be the reason people like to bash them dont you think. The Stones are bigger than the rock critics and remember i dont see these rock critics making songs or albums that have mattered for 40 years.

Also, being a 20 year old, being from this generation there isnt that much great music out there. A Bigger Bang is a great rock n roll record for its time. Stop trying to compare it to Exile or Stickey fingers there won't be another stickey or exile. Its 2005 not 1972. This album for its time is a great album. If you still dont like it because its not Exile, WAKE UP! THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER EXILE, WHITE ALBUM, WHO'S NEXT OR DARKSIDE OF THE MOON. GET OVER IT!

Maybe im wrong, maybe im just some 20 year old punk kid, it's just my opinion i could be wrong.

No, you could not be wrong! I totally agree with what you're saying. And I'm a 45 year old "kid" who remembers the days of Sticky and Exile. And as I've said dozens of times, Exile was not well received in 72, to say the least. So thanx for putting the record straight!

You are exactly right! You are correct there isn't much out there today to listen too. Doesn't say much when grandads kick ass.

In today's terms, I guess I could be called a long-term Stones fan (since 1973), but I firmly believe that ABB is a great summing up of the legacy, and yet it still sounds fresh and vibrant.

The band is rightfully proud of what they have achieved, and can thumb their collective noses at the naysayers and late-night comedians.

Admittedly, I was cautiously optimistic, but any reservations I previously held have now been proven to be unwarranted.
