yeah.. what is the deal with DM?
Some artist seem to have cults where a few people who attend all the shows and are rabid... it is like they are under a spell or something.
I saw this guy live in person guesting for The Stones...
and I am STILL trying figure out wtf that was all aboot... wtf?
I see people complain about some guests, like whats her name and the other gal, but at least they are easy on the eyes... but this guy? "Hey Yo"... WORST VERSION EVER. Dont watch, simply posted as evidence At that show I was WTFing the entire song... and it took 1 1/4 songs after that nonsense to wash it off and I have erased him him ever since.
Yeah, I often tell folks I have more black music in my collection than most black folks (and none is rap).
Me either. Or Phish.
Though I haven't heard much Phish; every Dave Mathews song sounds the same to me. Good guitar player; weird vocals and goofy little dance I don't get.

When one of my daughters was approaching her high school graduation and about to go off to college, this song was getting airplay and caused me to look back and reflect on her childhood and the years of her school days from when I held her hand as a four-year-old entering PreK to hugging her at her high school graduation and so much in between. I put on the happy face but inside I was crying as I drove her to college on move-in day.
I do have my conscience to worry about...

Interesting one. Highway 61 Revisited, Blood on the Tracks and the four album run from Time Out of Mind to Together Through Life are outstanding, but much of his work, no doubt, is hit and miss.
Not sure Dylan has taken himself seriously for a long time, though. Christmas in the Heart only strengthened this belief, especially the video for 'Must Be Santa'.

I agree to some extent with most of the stuff posted so far. Some of the notables are The Eagles, Coldplay, Queen, Nirvana... Has anybody mentioned U2???

U2 - None of their songs click with me. I find their music extremely boring and dull.
Dire Straits - Same as U2.
Radiohead - Boring

I'll go very specific: The song "Fever." Any version of it, any era, any vocalist.
If "Fever" were a person on a bicycle I'd stick a broomhandle in its spokes as it zoomed by - I don't get how others love it, snap their fingers, grin, and sway to it. Thankfully, not a daily occurrence.

It used to bother me when someone pulled out the "VAST GENERALIZATIONS" CARD to explain why I didnt like something, or someone. Now I just chuckle at how simple minded they must be to think that way.

Ive been to his concerts. I used to be able to take him (or leave him)(thought he had some good songs) but his whole shtick, his whole "I am blue collar working man", "we take care of our own", "I am one of you", "I feel your pain", his whole bullsht act wore thin..... it wore so thin that now I cant stand any of his crappy music. Even his stuff I used to like, now I turn the channel. He seems fake.
