Do Ward Records price their products to avoid selling copies? winking smiley
I would buy some of their product but not at these prices.
Ward records offers you exclusive products that are not available elsewhere. Those products are often limited editions etc. Thus, the prices for their items are rather high. Collector's limited editions, you know. One could call it pure cash in, the other - collector's items. I am positive - you will not see those concerts on the market in the form of regular edition any time soon.

In past I got one from them - Marquee 71 (CD+DVD)/Brussels 73(2CD) box. Guess, I paid something like 130 Euros including S&H&Customs. I did it because I wanted Brussels 73 on CD, official CD. And I want it really bad. But did not want to pay something close to 800 Euros for big box from Archieve (that I can not afford completely). So, you know, saving on beer and crackers for a month or so winking smiley. And to tell the truth - I was disappointed by the package for that one. They used cheap Chinese plastic jewel cases for that particular edition.

You can buy things from them or you can skip. It is your choice and degree of your collector's fever winking smiley

My collectors fever is pretty mild right now winking smiley I would've loved to get Brussels 73 on CD but I already had the Eagle Rock release of the Marquee Show so it seem like a lot of cash for one new show (a damn fine show it is!). Still not sure why the rest of world doesn't get an affordable Brussels 73 CD release. One of these days...

I could buy imported Totally Stripped etc. in Blu-ray at less than half price incl. shipping fee. (I'm living in Tokyo.smiling smiley)

The problem is Ward products come with just a thick and "no thank you" liner notes.
I have never heard that someone surrounding me read through this tedious liner notes.
But, if you want to pay extra JPY 2000 or 3000 for this sloppy liner, that's okey-dokey.winking smiley

Thanks awfully. I'm going to go for it as gigs vary from night to night. I cannot get enough of the 1989/90 2000 Light Years. Also Down In The Bottom, and more versions of Midnight Rambler have sold it for me. I also loved Ward's pressing of the Marquee / Brussels Affair Cds / DVDs.

Collector's item. Completist only. Like extra CD with a couple of tracks for Sweet Summer Sun.

"Completists only" if the mix is as awful as on Totally Stripped. But I have a dream that they've revisited the mix... You never know... confused smiley

I don't mind the mix of Totally Stripped.

It kind of sounds like a super good audience recording.

Not the clearest of sounds... but somehow captures the vibe rather better than the over produced original Stripped release.

The 1990 deluxe seems like a fair price. Very nice box set. Three vinyl albums, and three CDs and a DVD for $149 US dollars.

I would say the same, footage is in 4:3, but the sound is excellent, video quality not bad but it is 1990 standard (like watching a VHS, by the way Paint it Black is in b&w); the bonus footage show the Stones backstage before the Press Conference (no BW) and some shots of the conference in front of a crowd, for a total of 5.17 m.
