Perhaps the injury was not to one of the Stones, but to an essential sideman.

The TODAY SHOW here in America is even having a story about “Beatles and Rolling Stones” recording together. Previewed a few minutes ago at beginning of broadcast. Hasn’t aired yet.
The story has spread like wildfire.... a local radio station mentioned it last night, and now it's being published in NME, Guitar World, The Telegraph, Ultimate Classic Rock, the Daily Mail, etc., etc., etc.
Whether it actually happens remains to be seen, but now they almost seem obligated to do it. If it happens, surely it will be a monumental occasion in rock and roll history worthy of winning many accolades and awards.
On the other hand, if it doesn't happen many will feel like they've been deceived and/or shortchanged due to all of the press the story received, and the backlash might hurt sales (not to mention possible poor reviews).
Either way, a new album is long overdue!

ABB was released in September 2005, so that's only 17 years and counting! No worries!

(sorry BV within a minute of my post the other thread appeared but I can't delete this topic..)
Passive aggressive sums him up well. Never liked the guy and find him highly overrated.Quote

If the Stones are stupid enough to buy into that phony Paul McCartneys bullshit then they should hang it up already.
He’s a weirdo just like his fans, they insert themselves into every situation and then take credit for things that were already there.
If he actually played on a new Stones song and it became successful he’d take full credit “ oh the boys needed help, and then tell the story how he wrote their first single.AGAIN.
Such a passive aggressive jackass, he’s their friend one minute and the next he’s on Stern talking about how they were nothing campared to his little pop group.
Keep those two washed up bubble gum singers away from the rhythm section, if you think they’re better than those two cats who have the job now you’re probably suffering from some sort of mental disorder.
