New album

Not solid news. They have had plenty of time and they could be working as so many artist, not just expecting touring. I doubt if an album is coming out. So many years waiting but nothing serious about a new brabd record.
Time is passing running away and confidence in quality decreasung.
We do not need david from foolfiters and so on just a decent record . It is clear that golden era is over

The golden Era was over 40 years ago.

Well which artists made their greatest work aged 75+? They've given us so much already, everything after 1989 is like a bonus

I think Mick and Keith can't stand to be in the same room.

Pretty sure there’s another topic exactly like this. Probably will be merged.

I kinda liked Blue and Lonesome.

And I think Mick and Keef can get along if there is something to concentrate on.

I think this is a dead topic.

well i doubt they'll ever be best buds but i seem to remember from one of the shows in 2019 during midnight rambler that keith put his arm around micks shoulder and said something inaudible in his ear and mick laughed
plus singing in the same mic on dead flowers and some other subtle stuff during those shows just seem to indicate to me that they have at least come to place were they can get along pretty well
maybe i'm just seeing what i want to see

Every once in a while a put on one of the Stones last handful of albums and all I can think of is how mediocre (or worse) these albums are. There are treasure troves of amazing live music in their vaults. It would be so much better to release these live shows rather than another terrible, unlistenable album. Please no!!!!!!!

I don't think there is going to be a new album...may a premonition but I don't see it happening

More than 470 pages of brilliant thoughts about the new album here. This thread will probably be merged.

I love Undercover, but 1983 was never a better Stones-year than 1966, not to mention the 1965-1967 period.

It's incredible how many top class tunes they made or released then:

Satisfaction
The Last Time
Get Off Of My Cloud
The Spider And The Fly
As Tears Go By
Who's Driving Your Plane
Under My Thumb
Lady Jane
Out Of Time
Mother's Little Helper
I Am Waiting
19th Nervous Breakdown
Have You Seen Your Mother
Ride On, Baby
Going Home
Flight 505
It's Not Easy
Paint It, Black
Let's Spend The Night Together
Ruby Tuesday
Back Street Girl
She Smiled Sweetly
2000 Light Years From Home
We Love You
Dandelion
She's A Rainbow
Citadel
2000 Man

These are just some of the great tunes that came back then.

If this don't belong to their "golden era", nothing does.

I'd say the last great album was Blue And Lonesome.
