From Ronnie's interview with Steven Bellery of RTLFrance, posted November 12:
"The new @RollingStones album is advanced. It still looks a bit like a puzzle; we are in full construction. We hesitate on the forms to give each song. And as they are new tracks, it takes a little more time. We hope to release it next year ... "

From Ronnie's interview for AZCentral:
Q: Do you see you guys doing another album of original material at some point?
A: Yeah, we’ve been hacking songs into shape. I’m gonna go off to Paris and see Mick next week and see what his latest thoughts are after he’s got together with Keith. It’s an ongoing thing of comparing what is on the cooker at the moment and some ideas we’ve had for years that we may embellish upon. It’s quite interesting building this new album. You can’t say there’s a title for it. The tracks haven’t actually been chosen yet.
Q: Do you think diving back into your roots will have an impact on this new one?
A: It was an incredibly successful album and incredibly enjoyable to make. So we’ll take some of that into the studio with this new originals album.

Aware that I am in a minority of very few on this forum, I still appreciated the two songs in their released maxi single format as more interesting and attractive than the third studio album by his vetoing band collegue.
Good for you! For me, both songs were on par with Let's Work and Charmed Life, unfortunately. But I bought the 45" vinyl...
I can think of some of Jagger's as well as Richards' solo songs that I actually dislike more than the four songs mentioned here.
Might well be, but we're still in the bottom of the barrel here
That depends on the number of songs
Come on!

From Ronnie's interview with Gijsbert Kamer, published in de Volkskrant, November 12:
"I thought we had done a nice general rehearsal there in Wimborne, but when Don Was heard the recordings, he almost begged to release this immediately on record." record producer, and in that position associated with the Rolling Stones. The contact that Wood had with him about Mad Lad suggests that the Stones also come up with something new. Wood: "Yes, we are busy. I can't say much about it from the boys, but every now and then we record something together. It's like a jigsaw puzzle. First you do the edges and the corners. We now have that. Now the rest. "Sometime next year the album must be ready because, as Wood says," a new tour is also on the horizon ".
Is Ronnie reffering to Don Was wanting to release the material immediately or is that for something else? We don't need another Bigger Bang. We have waited this long, might as well wait for a solid album.

The reference is to Ronnie’s Chuck Berry tribute, not new Stones.

Original title of this thread:
Another album in 2017 ?
Hi all !
There was talk of another album of original songs being published in 2017. Is there any credible news?
IORR Editor update Oct-2018:
The new album have taken some time, but they aim at finishing it hopefully for the upcoming Nort America tour 2019.
IORR Editor update Mar-2019:
Keith Richards in MOJO magazine April edition interview:
"We're in the studio in a couple of weeks, the whole kit and caboodle. The Stones with Don Was producing, in LA. We'll have it done this year, at some point."

...and after that, there will be some quarrels, that'll lead to another X-pensive Winos tour, while Jagger's making movies and do shows in the far east. And just when everybody thought it was over;
Rolling Stones make a comeback in 2028, topping the hitlists and touring worldwide - the press can't praise them enough, and who could've guessed they'd bring back Jim Price and Mick Taylor this time around !
- then it's back to the studio and start rehearsing for the 2033/34 trip

If they haven't chosen the tracks, they are further behind that I thought.
I thought they were stymied by the mixes or the overdubs on existing tracks.
