I guess in view of the recent news about Mick's health we shouldn't count on a new album in the very near future (in view of Honk we shouldn't anyway). Let's hope Mick gets well again soon.

That would be ok for me as long it's a very good Album, which shows that they're still the greatest R&R-Band in the World ....

Perhaps the rest of the band might go to the studio to continue working in the new album , sure there are task to do and meanwhile this break something positive come up

Sounds like a nice positive thought MAYO, but I wouldn't count on it - at least not until Mick is out of the woods so to speak.
On a similar note, if all goes smoothly and Mick's recovering well, maybe he can skype/live webcam himself to the rest of the band while they're in the studio giving his input and perhaps even singing a little bit?!!!

Dunno, if the other Stones went into a studio now to work on the album it might have a flavour of taking the chance to create facts while Mick can't interfere. And who knows, maybe the crucial stuff is on Mick's laptop only anyway ... (just kiddin', he sure does have backups grinning smiley). Working on Keith's songs (solo spots) would seem realistic, though. And Keith might even take the chance to practice a little winking smiley

Mick sending his vocals via skype might show them how they could have saved a lot of dough for expensive sound effects ...

Anyway, it seems that the rest of this years will be consumed by the postponed tour, so further studio work on the new album probably in 2020 only. Makes it look like a release date in mid-to-later 2020 the earliest (depending on the actual state of affairs). The live portion of Honk suggests that a good deal of studio time in the past couple of months was spent on overdubs rather than the new album.

Well, obviously with Mick having surgery, the new album is on indefinite hold.

Long live HONK.

As long is Mick is well I don’t care about the album or tour. Wishing Mick a very quick recovery and good health.

That's nice. A bit beyond hyperbole but a nice thought.

It does bring forth something different than 'Oh come on, when will the new album be done?'.

At this point, it doesn't matter. Legacy doesn't mean shit when your health is on the line.

The album has been on indefinite hold since it began four years ago ( grinning smiley ).

In seriousness... I as well just hope Mick recovers nicely and gets his health back .. regardless of what becomes of the album or tour etc.
