Twice today I have been forced to look at and study stupid little photos to prove I am not a robot!

What the @#$%&!

It's a new safety device to indeed prove you're not a robot.

Btw have you passed a Voight-Kampff test recently?

Can you prove that you aren't a robot?

It would seem that you're the only person who sees them here.

I wouldn't mind it if it actually helped, but it hasn't made anything any easier.

There is no need for captcha ("Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart") on IORR. In order to register for posting on IORR you need to get an approval by me personally. I do reject both machines and real people trying to register for posting on IORR if they have offensive names, e-mail addresses that come from machines and so on. Captchas are used where there is no person available to verify filled in forms, ticket reservations and so on.

Is it possible for IORR to stop misinterpreting " followed by )
("Quotation-Mark" followed by "Close-Parenthesis")

Currently it comes out as "winking smiley
("Quotation-Mark" +"Winking-Smiley")

I have not had a recurrence of the problem since my original post that started this thread. I use a VPN, tuned to a USA IP address. I do not know why I was asked "to verify that I was not a robot" twice on that day while attempting to view this web page. Note that this has happened sporadically in the past when I try to view this web page, but it does not happen all the time.

IORR.org does not run any captcha at all. You must have a computer or browser issue. Reboot your PC, clean out your cookies, run in incognito mode. For sure any captcha or networkingt issue is happening OUTSIDE iorr.org. This site (iorr) is all standard and no special effects, just standard web site according to standards.
