"The Rolling Stones’ Blue & Lonesome rounds out the top 10, as it descends 4-10 in its second week with 43,000 units."

166,000 copies sold after 2 weeks and second week at Top 10 in the US, not bad at all.

This all goes to show that the Stones have a very strong fan base they can rely on. WE know that EVERYTHING new of them will be good... whereas all others (well, except Elvis it seems) have to prove every time.

much as I wanted this blues album, and it's excellent, I couldn't have imagined it would have been successful, nevermind this successful.

Every album peaks in the first week, we're not in the 70's or 80's anymore, actually B&L is holding it very well.

-Guess you`re right. I remember when being so young I didn`t really care, but "Bridge Over Troubled Water" was on the top of the charts week after week after week, year after year.....Then came Pink Floyd`s "Dark Side of The Monn"...

On a somewhat related note, I don’t get the UK’s fascination with that cheesy Elvis record (The Wonder of You) with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

It only got to #47 in the United States and that is too high as far as I’m concerned.

In the UK this could be their biggest non compilation seller since what, Undercover?

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I remember reading an article claiming that UK has the largest Elvis' fanbase worldwide.
