Projected US sales for the second week are 30-35k sold, it should chart around #15 on the Billboard 200.

Pathetic.

The album is sold out on many online stores and shops in the US, Universal expected sales on the 80-85k range during the first week but it sold 40k more units, it won't be on full stock again until Dec 19-20. It will sell 30-35k this week with the album sold out in Amazon and Best Buy.

Probably the best stimulus for a new album - "good sales figures for B&L".

I'm sure many Stones fans don't even remember that ABB stayed for two weeks at # 1 of the Global Chart, 5 weeks on Top 15 and (if memory helps) 9 weeks on Top 40. It sold 2,5 million copies worldwide and the number was good for 2005 and 2006 (already era of downloading...). But B&L's success is obviously bigger. Much bigger.

they should play to Seoul more often..

B&L is at number 2 here in Japan behind the (far superior and far more ambitious) new album by the Radwimps. I’d love to see the demographics – no doubt the Stones can thank Japan’s aging population for the high ranking. If Japanese women had popped out even half a baby more in the last 30 years the Stones wouldn’t be able to crack the top 10 (and the Radwimps would be wealthier).
