The segment will more than likely be pre-recorded.
Mick and Keith will probably be interviewed separately, each have a few short questions asked, and then it will be spliced together for the 'live' broadcast.
Zero chance of any tunes being played.

this is the most likely scenario and yes, zero chance of any songs being played.do some of you guys want the rolling stones/mick and keith playing on the fckng today show?are you kidding me?
it is possible they are interviewed together because they like matt lauer but i wouldn't read too much into it.remember when i asked if anyone could find a picture of mick and keith together in a non-working enviroment in the last 30?we're still at zilch..

Keith attended the memorial service for L'Wren Scott in 2014 but it was private and there are no pictures as far as I know.

JUst watched. Really glad they included Charlie and Ron as well. Charlie was the funniest, as usual.

As far as most recent picture of Mick and Keith together in a non-work setting, the most recent I know of is from Leah Wood's wedding a few years ago, maybe 2008:

What the Rolling Stones have learned from each other over more than 50 years

TODAY’s Matt Lauer asks the Rolling Stones — Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts — what they’ve learned from each other during their decades together, and their answers range from insightful to playful. Jagger jokes that what he has learned from drummer Watts is that “staying in time’s not everything.”

Fun interviews! They all look great...maybe they can squeeze another couple of years of productivity out of themselves.

(too bad the vid was marred by a horrific array of current events news in the sidebar which I would prefer not to know about)

Except for Keith's right hand, was that a guitar string accident or something like that?

poor charlie. lol.
My absolute favorite part was like a micro-second long. Clone asks Charlie what he's learned from Mick he just says
"oh God"
and they edited it right there.

Well, no talk of retirement from Mick, saying looking at the last 50+ years will help possibly "make the end better". thumbs upthumbs up

Also .. "Longevity is important, but having fun is more important"..
They definitely do seem to be accomplishing both nicely these days.

There is a scene in Ole,Ole,Ole where Mick is discussing what press interviews to do in the USA. Mick mentions Matt Lauer as one of the "good ones".

It was a nice piece he did.

Yes, all of them.
Just a PR piece for their exhibition. Light and fluffy.
Could have been filmed back in April....same questions really.
Nor sure if any of the exhibits have changed...would have been a useful question.
No mention of the 'oldies' album....or work on the other one.

The broadcast segment:

The Rolling Stones give TODAY a guided tour of their new exhibit

Since 1962, the Rolling Stones have provided much of the soundtrack of our lives. Now the rock icons have compiled their memorabilia into an exhibition that TODAY’s Matt Lauer gets to tour with Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie themselves.

Seriously. What in the absolute @#$%&?

Did they have some copyright issue regarding their music being used even as a background bed?? That was ridiculous.

At least it wasn't just a hype piece interview where all they talked about was based on selling tickets to the museum thing

Must have been a music rights issue for the online version.
Here in the US they used actual Stones music for some of the background tracks on the live broadcast version.
