Went away as if by magic but provides some sales incentive instead.

I'll defer buying it because Japanese version is "Secure CD" instrumented a copy control function.

Hi,

I was in Europe as the CD came out. I bought the european version.
Now I'm back in Japan, but when I came to the HMV, they told me there was no version
with a DVD. There are two versions on sale here. A japanese version, that's a little more
expensive, but seems to offer no really interesting extras, and the one you can buy in Europe as well. So does anybody know, what happened to this item?

Catalog No.: TOCP-66441 (CD with DVD - CCCD copy protected)
Number of discs (or other units): 2
Release Date: T.B.D.
Price: 3333yen (US$ 29.95)
Item weight: 200 g

Or did I just go to the wrong shop in the wrong town?

Regards,

Martijn

isn't this CD/DVD the one that's coming out at Christmas everywhere?

So it seems that the current japanese version on sale is sort of the same as the European version. The player that is launched when you put the CD in the computer is different, but that is all. If you click "extras" ( the button on lower right corner of the player screen ) you are being referred to a site anybody can see where there are indeed two grainy videos of live versions of "back of my hand" and "shattered", but that's all.

To add to my previous question: is there any difference between the japanese CD single and the european one? I considered getting it, but it seemed identical.

U2 just released a CD+DVD of their new album, so it might be as well with the Stones, in a few months from now (Xmas...)

Cheers Baboon! Works busy (designing brochures on cat litter, about as much fun as Primitive Cool!) and the kids always keep me busy. Sunny day here in gloucestershire, UK.
Have you got any plans to see any of the gigs?
I bought B&B, SG, DW, Stripped and under cover for £25 on saturday!! Replaces the Vinyl!!

U2's CD/DVD package was released at the same time as the album came out. As was Springsteen's.

As the Stones didnt do it like that, if they do its obviously a shameless way of forcing you to buy the album twice and artificially inflate sales figures. Although, theyre hardly alone in being guilty of that...
