Can't believe it, I cave a copy of the album in my hand. It's in the CD-player. Has Patti left Keith, or has he just written about a friend? The lyrics to "This place..." certainly made me wonder. Anyone else who had a sad, sad feeling listening to it? Of course it's a great song, and the album is brilliant, but I'm a bit sad. Have they split?

Song lyrics do not necessesarily have an autobiographical meaning or background. Haven't heard that they actually split. So there's no reason to be sad until a split is confirmed. A good song, by the way.

Keith told in an interview that the song is about he being alone on the road and missing his wife... this place is empty without you.

And no, their are not split! It's a song to his wife. He misses his wife when on the road.

Mick didn't wrote midnight rambler because he's cut some throats right...;-)
