Please post your live comments and reports from the Paul McCartney and Neil Young performances at the second week Desert Trip concert Saturday October 15, 2016 in Indio, CA, USA.

PS. Normally Paul McCartney and Neil Young are "off topic" here on IORR, but Desert Trip is very much On Topic, with many many Stones fans attending all three nights with six performing artists at the Coachella site these two week-ends.

Paul live will never be as exciting as a Stones concert - no matter how many more songs he plays.
Just by looking at the setlist The Sicilian posted above, I almost fell asleep.

Looking forward to Neil Young again - a true artist that is willing to improvise rather than stagnate.
All of the recent live shows I've seen from him in the last year have been memorable due in large part because they're all different from one another.

Neil Young and Macca have been on my tick list to see for a long time.

Gotta get to see them live before they get too old to perform to their high standards.

All these six acts over the weekend are no youngsters ,and when you get past performing well and dignified, it's best to call it a day.

Hopefully all this bunch will carry on a few more years ,making a lot of their devoted fans ,very happy. smileys with beer

Unfortunately, the Stones have been lacking in both.

Regarding Paul's setlist, many of his songs are 2-3 minutes long like the recorded versions, while the Stones songs are extended to 5-6 minutes, plus 11-12 minutes for Rambler.

The Stones have a lot of shorties too. But they play nothing. The song length is irrelevant. Just play some damn songs.

Showed up early again and enjoyed Pails show from the front rail in the pit and was blown away. Great show (much cooler and breezy) and Pauls show was as good as I could have hoped for.
But.. The Stomes show from the front row was the better show.. Not just my fanboy opinion either.. It created a lot more post show buzz and excitement and remains best of DT2 (so far )
