That dude goes to a lot of interesting places. I haven't seen his show for a while, but it's usually worth watching. I haven't been into tv much lately. No CNN at all. No news is good news. I feel for the people of Chicago. I'm certainly not trying to put down Chi Town.

I cannot weigh any opinion on the World Series, just happened to watch the full game 5 and was riveted.

I was a riveting game... as that one guy said above during the game...

Not that anyone paid attention or tuned in due to that post, but I did my part to try to pass on the fun.

Even if someone was not a MLB fan, that was a great game, right down to the last out. It did not alter my opinion or faith in anything, but it sure was great baseball and I love the beseball'

I am betting Cleveland closes it out tomorrow, but if not, katy bar the door for game 7 because it is going to be... well... guess people gotta tune in to see.

Sports like this is the best and only reality TV I will watch.

^ fact

And if/when there is no sports I watch more re-run of old shows than anything else. New runs shows are pretty much all garbage. I cut the cable a long time ago but thankfully OTA TV is better than it has ever been. Good ole shows are entertaining. There are some good Movie channels too smiling smiley

The old days were better. For instance, I watch Johnny Carson almost every night and it is still great entertainment. It is hard to believe how good it still is. I have not tuned in to a current late night blight talk show in over a year. I do not even check the late guests anymore, the hosts are unbearable.

But maybe there is hope... one conspiracy theory floating around says that when this MSM farce is over next week, the powers that be who planted this crop of late night hacks will replace them with some hosts who actually have some talent, versus being simpleton agenda pushing propaganda mouth pieces.

It's a good thing we have sports to keep us all together. As a human race, I think we would cease to exist without sports and music. The revolution will not be televised, because there won't be one. I'm gonna be saying thank Goddess, on the eve of the second Tuesday of this month, and I'll be watching on tv for a while, that night, just for the relief of saying goodbye to all that stuff on tv right now that isn't sports.

The Cubs go down tonight and have another year to wallow... Francona knew what he was doing not sending his ace against their ace Saturday... he traded wins... and tonight sticks the the dagger in. Unless I am wrong, and then, game 7 could be one for the ages.

I would not mind if (I actually kind of kind of hope) the Indians lose tonight...

THEN BOOM!!! GAME 7 WORLD SERIES RULEZ!!
IT CAN BE THE BEST GAME IN SPORTS!!!

I would love to watch 2 more games.

But there wont be a game 7 this year...

Life and baseball fandom take you to some strange and awesome places at times... Here's Derek and Eddie Vedder with a late night version of "The Weight," accompanied by Bill Murray and friends in the wee hours after game 4 of the World Series.

Isn't this Cleveland pitcher the slowest pitcher in the MLB or something? He throws the slow balls.

Let's go Cleveland, step it up!

Sloppy play by the Indians... at this point in the season... not so good... like not having it down who will catch the ball that falls between two out fielders is... not so good. But it was fun to watch and we have a game 7. I hope it is better played than tonight.

One game for all the marbles... GAME 7!!!

Game 7 will feature Cleveland's return to great pitching. That's all they need to win. We want a pitcher. Not a belly-itcher.

MLB really is a huge % pitching... and maybe the Cubs blew it by sending out... or maybe not... idk... THATS WHY THEY PLAY THE GAME!!! GAME 7!!!

I have no dog in this hunt, and I am almost glad I dont. I doubt Cub fans are sleeping easy tonight. I imagine Tribe fans are tossing and turning as visions of lazy pop fly outs hit the ground.

I love MLB baseball. I have watched a lot of sports in my day and I believe MLB is the last non-rigged sport. There is so much rigged in so many sports, it almost ruins it... hell, it has ruined several sports for me. I wouldn't watch a boxing match if it was free.

I like futball and football and tennis.. but I see NFL matches where the refs seems tilted in one teams favor. Tennis matches where the line calls go all one way. World Cups where some countries can not buy a break. etc etc... but MLB seems honest.

I watch close... and MLB seems as honest as it can be, esp now with this instant replay nonsense genius BS perfection ruining making it great something... hell idk what to think about the instant replay... but bad incorrect calls at first are history. Home runs are looked at... all that is left is balls and strikes and that seems usually well balanced between the two teams. I dont want electronic balls and strikes.. not yet.

I love a sport where there is little luck and no rigging is involved. A sport where they play 162 games before going into the playoffs. And not a one game playoff where one team might have a bad night, and off day or an overpowering pitcher for one game. MLB has real 3/5 or 4/7 playoffs and the eventual best team earns the title. There is no winning. It is not a lottery. They earn it as a looooooong hot summer turns into a sizzling October.

MLB is amazing. I love it!!! And Game 7 of the final series of the season is as good as sports can get. It can be the best of the best of the best!!!

And I do not need my dog in the hunt. Hell I am happy mine isnt. When the stakes are this high I need my team to win it in 4-5 games and quick... because when it all comes down to 1 game... and then it comes comes down to 6-9 outs.. and then the final inning and it is close!!! hot smileyhot smiley ELZIABETH!!! ITS THE BIG ONE HONEY, IM COMING!! grinning smiley

Hotdogs and beer and baseball on the menu tomorrow night. I CANT WAIT!! smileys with beer

I wasn't trying to imply that any of Cleveland's pitchers from last night are belly-itchers. And they might not have been in the series without the slow-ball pitcher. He's been great for them all year. He pitches the slow ball. Weird but true. He's a great pitcher. Maybe the Cubs haven't saved enough for tonight, where pitching is concerned? We'll see.

Instant replay, for me, somehow adds to the game. I like it. The pitches should all be called by a human being, though, I agree. We can't have automated strike calls, with the human-element removed completely. Then it's not a game anymore. Robots are running the world enough as it is.

What a series! My heart is with Cleveland now, for this last game. It's gotta be about great pitching.

I am not sure what it means but it takes me back to my childhood winking smiley
We used to scream it for... idk?... mostly we screamed it FOR FUN!!!

I scream... you scream.... WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!! grinning smiley

I was guessing early on this series (and all of these playoff series) could go all the way. I knew the Indians were on fire all year, but the Cubbies had a better record.

I dont know who I want to win. Personally I have no love for Cleveland, they certainly didn't do me (or my club) any favors winning like they did this year, they were too hot!!! They went on crazy winning streaks. And I kind of like the curse of the goat. It is the stuff of lore. And the Cubs (not) winning the World Series and all, I think their fans kind of like it like that stuff, but I dont know. I just dont know now. But it is gonna be fun to watch!

One thing is for sure... neither team will be losers. Both clubs and their fans have to be delighted.

What a series INDEED!! smileys with beer

fwiw the bookies (at this moment) are picking the Tribe
901 CHICAGO CUBS (r) hendricks -1.5(+151)
902 CLEVELAND INDIANS (r) kluber +1.5(-164)

Game 7 of the World Series!!! Whoo Hoo!!! Only thing better in sports (IMO) is overtime in game 7 of the NHL Stanley Cup but this is a really close 2nd in my book. I only wish that I enjoyed baseball enough to watch the whole game. I'll probably pick it up in the 7th inning or so.

I think I'll be rooting for the Cubs. Might as well. Actually, I think I'll just root for a good game.

Enjoy!

Peace,
Mr DJA

Don't start celebrating too early. Cleveland is hitting the ball. Technically, they're not hits yet...but the bats are making that cracking sound. Look for Cubs pitching to collapse!

Whaa? The first pitch is a homer? Chi up 1-0 before I could sit down.
Cleveland ties it up bottom of third. Pitcher change.
Chi up to bat top of 4th. score 1 to 1.

it is faaaaar from over.. the fat lady hasn't even got to the stadium yet... she is still driving around looking for more free tacos. She will get to the stadium later... and start warming up her voice... for which team?? It remains to be seen.

But I do have one piece of advice. Mr Base runner....Try to NOT get thrown out at first.
