I'd Much Rather Be With the Boys

Here I am
All alone and all dressed up to kill
Cause I'd much rather be with the boys
Than be with you
Here I am
With the gang, I don't care where you are
Cause I'd much rather be with the boys
Than be with you
I hold up my head up high when I walk down the street
Now I'm a man I'm standing on my own two feet
Don't try to call me cause now I know the score
And now I know that I don't need you anymore
Don't put me on
It's over now, it's no good looking back
Cause I'd much rather be with the boys, then be with you
Who's fooling who
It's over and you've had all your getting from me
Cause I'd much rather be with the boys
Yes I'd much rather be with the boys
Yes I'd much rather be with the boys
Yes I'd much rather be with the boys
And the boys they would much rather be with the boys than with girls like you

Girls like you
Girls like you......

Perfect timing! I just attended the wedding of two men this past weekend. And it was beautiful.

Unfortunately, this is another weak track from Metamorphosis, although I kinda like the "girls like you" outro...

Is this the only known song attributed to Oldham/Richards?

"All I Want Is My Baby" recorded by Bobby Jameson was an Oldham-Richards song.

Used to see him do this at Dingwalls and other clubs round London in the 80s. Great.

I'd double checked NZengraf site according to "him" Keith played guitar on this tune

- I'd Much Rather Be With The Boys II (KR/Andrew Oldham) -with additional
guitar, additional backing vocals with additional backing vocals by
Christine Ohlman (added in the early 70's); Metamorphosis-version
Musicians: KR (gtr)/MJ (voc)/Joe Moretti (gtr)/John McLaughlin (gtr)/Andy White (dr)

Ronnie Spector also has a gender-reversed version on her recent album "English Heart" - the track doesn't seem to be on YouTube, which is a pity, but there's this live version from Paris:
