I just don´t understand people complaining about this and that.
Just watched some clips and they seem to have delivered a great great show!

Who´d ever thought they would ever do "Come Together" (very good version, btw), "Mixed Emotions" & "Little T&A"? Their version of "Ride Em On Down" was far better than the original! Keith playing bad? His IORR-intro was phenomenal. For a guy who is not young anymore, suffers from arthritis and since his surgery has to take medicines which probably cause side effects (especially if mixed with alcohol) he´s in good form. 30 years ago practically everyone thought he´d be long gone in 2016 - and here he is!

From what I've heard so far, Come Together and Mixed Emotions sound awesome. Good times.

I second that emotion. Or I guess it would be a third now... No complaints!

I just want to say this to be a dick on the internet, Zip Code was better than South America. I wish Keith and Ronnie would play together more! They were doing that on Zip Code.

But so far this Desert Trip stuff is cool. Opinions are like aresholes....

Constructive criticism can be helpful.

The guitar Keith is playing on Come Together looks similar to the one John used to play in 1969. smiling smiley

It looks kind of like the Epiphone Casino John Lennon took the finish off. Btw, don 't refinish old guitars, if anyone is reading this and thinking about it...

Btw cool version of YCAGWYW

Saw them on zip and in Rio all great shows will see them in vagas and on every future tour I can get to .The point of live shows is the difference in each doesn't make one show better or worse it's about the live performance and interaction with the band. One person can love a show another may think it's the worst they've seen all depends on mood company etc. That's the beauty of a live show compared to a cd that's why we go

They're all great shows. I'm usually the one complaining about complainers. I just thought Keith and Ronnie were doing some stellar magic-weave stuff on the Zip Code tour. They still sound great to me. I just wish they would bring back some of that stuff.

Wonder how/who came up with the idea to play "Come Together"; The fact that Macca's playing tonight but why not "Why Don't We Do It On The Road" then ;-) Because there's a mention of "Muddy Waters" ?

Mick was a bit flat in the beginning and it could have groved a bit harder but still very enjoyable !

I think they are a bit rusty this first gig. But that as always been the case!
Look at the first show from 1981.

Great setlist, and an even better show to come, next show.

Great job by all who took, posted and organized videos! Thank you! I gotta agree with many. This performance sounded pretty bad. There seemed to be a lack of real intensity and energy too. Seemed too manufactured and forced. Maybe it's just the recording or me.
If they cannot play well enough they really need to consider retiring. The images I have seen are reminiscent of a ballplayer who hangs on too long- like a Willie Mays- shells of their former selves. I certainly do not see these performances helping ticket sales for the Vegas shows. Pricing was my reason to not go; the performances make me glad I am not going. Wow

If only they were doing a real tour and had a chance to warm up. A handful of gigs is not enough to get them at their best. Hope they'll do a real US Tour in the next year or so!

From the snippets of the clips I saw, there was no "Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World" vibe going on. You know how you can't take an mp3 song and recompress it into another mp3 because there's "no juice left" in the original mp3? It felt like there was no juice left in their performance.

Like I mentioned before, Glastonbury 2013 was the last blast, the symbolic ending for the Rolling Stones. That's the way to remember them.

I love the Stones, but I can't love them today only because they still play...
Only because they are still there.

For me, here, the Keith guitar playing is just weak, inconsistent, wavering.
Even the riff.

I am not the only one thinking that on this board after this show.

And it's just sad on SFTD.

He seems lost on stage.
