Figured they'd convene in LA, seems to be their new fave for rehearsals...

Ronnie and Sally in Toronto with Keith and Patti said it all without words. Wouldn't figure they'd come over just for the film's PR without the new family in tow, which reflects Sally's comment about bringing the girls on tour. Also, Chuck mentioned activity in Sept/Oct, so it appears the timeline is more or less complete for 2016.

Love Ronnie's comment about the new blues album, and sorting things out in rehearsals... Gotta believe we'll get some unique stuff at least in Las Vegas!

On the plane in one month!!!

I suggested Sweet Virginia - a gem that should be back in the serlist.

I suggested Sweet Virginia as well. In keeping with the desert theme.

Wow.. a "couple days" before rehearsals start??
Seems like a lot of time before the first (scheduled) concert...

Last rehearsals in Burbank there was hardly a peep about what was being played compared to the previous time where the songs being rehearsed could be heard and reported.. I think I liked not knowing better.. (even though I spent some hours on the sidewalk outside rehearsals trying).. Starting this early is great news!

Maybe they will do one or two club shows before the big concerts.

Maybe if they're starting rehearsals early, they will actually shock us and deviate a bit from the setlist they've been doing to death for the last few tours? Hope springs eternal. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Even if they do the same songs they've been doing since 2012, at least mix up the order of them a bit. After Keith's two songs, it's been soooo predictable.

The grand finale after Keith´s songs is well composed and not to be changed. No way.

You've got to be kidding? Isn't it boring being able to predict exactly what you're going to hear and when you're going to hear it? Once upon a time, part of the thrill was being surprised. I mean, I don't mind knowing I'm gonna hear all the warhorses, but mix them up a bit. Use something other than Satisfaction and YCAGWYW for closers. Does Brown Sugar always need to be at the end? Put it at the start for a change. When I saw them in 2005, IORR worked well as an encore. Change keeps things from feeling so stale. In 1994, Tumbling Dice worked well as a second number and Satisfaction was very early in the set. In 1997 they opened with Satisfaction. Kept things interesting.

It´s a climax carefully built. Not meant for die-hards, but the usual crowd.

It's a shame that the Stones are catering to the usual crowd and not their truly devoted die-hard fans.

Die-hard fans: 15.000
Casual fans and first-timers: 35.000
Of course I´m just guessing, but I think this might be close to reality.
The Stones decided to please the majority.

Of course you're right but I still wish the Stones would at least give a nod, somehow, to us diehards.

Don't forget they are not "your rolling stones", if it was, there should be currently poor.

95% of the audience only sees them once and they all love those songs.

It should come as no surprise that the Stones will be on autopilot with a typical setlist - give or take a tune or two,
and to expect any drastic changes at this late point in the game is being a bit unrealistic.

The rehearsals are another story as there is usually always something new, different, and unexpected.
Wish I could be in the rehearsal room for a day!

Hopefully they'll rehearse a few along the lines of

Slave
Turd On The Run
Coming Down Again

It would blow minds - every one of them - if they pulled out If You Really Want To Be My Friend.
