I am very fond of the Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out version, but the versions on Love you Live
and Sticky Fingers are great too. All three are completely different, but beatiful.
Guitars and vocals of course are the main ingredients, but try to follow the drumming
on the Sticky Fingers version. It's amazing how such simple drumming can build up so
much tension.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

I think You Gotta Move is being confused with Love In Vain, no? Either way, can't get enough of the live '75-'76 stuff. Cleveland's version from the LYL mixes is really nice!!

Live 1975 and 1976 is when this little tune grows to one helluva gem. Same goes for Honky Tonk Women.

The Sticky Fingers version doesn't work. It's better live but still has no real purpose.

Love the 76 in Paris version, though that was a very difficult time for keith.

Decent cover but adds nothing to the original. In fact it subtracts from the original...it lacks the darkness and starkness.

The great rendition in Atlanta in 2015 is possibly the highlight of the 2012-present Stones, challenged only by the 'Midnight Rambler' from Arlington.

Fred McDowell- "You got to Move",is outstanding no doubt but I always love to listen to the Sticky Fingers track and some of the 69 live bootlegs.

The Stones studio version is fine indeed. Glad they kept it to McDowell, which I'm surprised he recorded and released in 1965.

I love it.
My favorite version can be found on Love You Live. Original version on SF is also fine, Ya Ya´s version is so-so.

The studio version is useless filler in my opinion. No need for it. The live version I like.

Because it doesn't sound good and its not even better then the original. A bad copy is a filler. No need for it. Just saying its the blues doesn't cut it.

Agreed!

I love this song and the Stones really did a great version. It was great to hear it live in 2015 - one of the greatest moments of that concert - and it would be awesome if they could add it to their setlists.
