how about some props for covering a great song? it's not like jason isbell and ryan adams are fronting some hack bar band. of course it not's going to sound like the original. these guys had the guts (and the chops) to get out of their comfort zone and played homage to the Stones. get over it.

I think it's a good version too. Isbell has done 'Sway' for years. They are great
together, Adams and Isbell.
I meant in my earlier post, when it comes to playing Sway, even the Stones' versions haven't captured the feel of the original ..glad they did it, though..
Was this on the offical release DVD boxset which i am not sure if the title was Biggest Bang dvd boxset ?Quote

The Stones did a cover version of this song in Austin 2006 which was a glorious mess...at one point I'm pretty sure they were doing an unintended medley of 4 different Stones cover songs...go watch the video
