I had a good laugh at that comment as well. Just to show ya that it's a true brotherhood. Dysfunctional at times but family in the end.

Mick: If you’ve ever tried to play the drums, I mean I like playing the drums sometimes, and.. you know I do it for 5 minutes and I’m absolutely knackered, I mean wiped out, um (breaks up laughing) and I’ve got pretty good arms! I obviously don’t know how they do it!

Dang right Mick! We were just being amazed about that concept last week... CHARLIE!!!

So, did any IORRians go along to this in the end ? I thought about it but decided it was too much of a faff to get into London after a day’s work in Swindon.

Yes, quite a few went ...

Film was great, the rest of it was nothing to get excited about quite frankly. They set up the floor to look like the pit. Maybe it's just me .... but I don't like watching films smack in front of a huge screen. Too close. In a cinema, I always opt for seats towards the back, rather than up front. So I was further back.

There was food for £6 and rum/cokes and couples dancing Salsa in & around the place. I wouldn't exactly call it a truly immersive experience. If you didn't go, you didn't miss much ... only a £30 cinema ticket to be honest !!

Glad to see that there was a good sized crowd. I went to the Ole Ole doc a few years back...me and about thirty other people.

Hey yeah Pauly that's where I like to be tooooo …..

But some years back went to catch a midday movie in one of the
BIG-seater theatres …..I'm sitting dead-centre up the back
and the the only one in the movie… trailers show …theatre darkens...
film starts and then ONE guy on his own comes in, makes his way up
the steps and sits directly behind me …

I start getting thoughts of piano-wire.... aaaaahhhhhhh...
Had to up and move so I could see the guy out of the corner of the eye...

Thanks PW. I saw the original ‘for one night only’ here in Swindon 2 years ago for about half of that, on my way home from work. Did they show all 18 songs or just the 13 from the edited film? The very next day after that screening 2 years ago, was the revelation debut gig by the IORR Band at The Alley Cat in Denmark Street.

Now that WAS an immersive experience.... smileys with beer

Here’s a photo of Friday night in the Troxy. I see what you mean about setting up the floor like the pit.

Er ...... because both films are about CONCERTS, and both films involve this band called THE ROLLING STONES !

Can't think of any other reason really ...... you ?
