Is Septetmber a mistake (as many people say) or is it just a musical pun?

A mistake:

"On Friday 7th September 2018, immersive specialists Revive at Studio 5, will transform iconic East London venue, Troxy, into the streets of Havana, Cuba, as they ‘revive’ the atmosphere, buzz and incredible performances from the famous Rolling Stones’ Havana Moon concert." - [www.RollingStones.com] .

The Grade II-listed, Thirties-era Troxy will show the band’s Havana Moon concert in an immersive experience complete with screaming groupies, dancers, Cuban food and cocktails.

The 75-year-old said: “As a band we’re all for moving forward with new technology, particularly in our shows. We hope the fans enjoy it as much as we did in Havana. Standing in front of them was an emotional moment. Nothing like this had been done before in Cuba. Rock ’n’ roll was banned. The atmosphere was electric. Cuba was beautiful.”

(*sounds like a blast)

Screaming groupies? lol

"Revive director Tom Clark said of the Troxy event: “We’ve got great surprises. Expect actors, dancers and set design to rival any theatrical experience you might have been to.'”

Sounds something like the Rocky Horror Picture Show movie when it's screened in theaters - people dressing up as characters and acting out scenes yelling at the screen.
Never was my cup of tea, but perhaps this is the future of the Stones after they finish touring. Hoards of diehards attending various Stones movies multiple times,
while dressing up and interacting with the movie itself along with expert actors, dancers, and specific set designs for each show. Imagine them doing this for the Gimme Shelter movie!!!

I'm warming to the idea too. No GC or Pit. It's whole floor GA with reservable tiered seating.

All tickets the same price - just like the olden days grinning smiley

Could be quite an experience! Decades ago I went to see the "musical" Buddy Holly in London. Buddy was long gone (I was 9 when he died), but the musical was really a very nice, back in time, experience. Worth every pound and penny.
Having seen the real "thing" in March 2016 in Havana, I would quite likely be pretty disappointed to see that upcoming theatre show. Screaming girls, for instance, not in Havana. The people were very enthousiastic, but certainly not histerical. But yes, paulywaul, go smileys with beer

I also saw that Buddy Holly musical in London around '98 I think it was, but could of been a year before or after. He died four years before I was even born, but the musical was just as you described - a really nice, back in time, experience, and I recall it was much better than the movie with Gary Busy. Perhaps we crossed paths at the theater georgie! smileys with beer

Maybe it’s 3D, maybe the floor shakes, maybe you’re pushed around and shoved about
You guys are comparing shows from decades ago, I am thinking the technologies have improved
but someone has to go and let us know

They're two different things - a live musical in a historical London theater with actors singing live (Buddy Holly Story) vs. a Rolling Stones film shown on a screen
enhanced by actors, dancers, and female groupies in the audience re-enacting/recreating a certain vibe - more like an interactive experience.
Maybe they'll have big angry bouncers there to keep all the fans in line!

Can't help you there, but I'm told that there's going to be a fully clothed hologram of Matt Lee and that he'll be wandering round offering to buy any picks that get thrown by the band.

Quite possible Hairball, but some 20 years ago ... (not concerning the Stones though), I forget details, but I think (actually know for sure) I was in the UK in '99 ("Buddy Holly" was on for quite some time in that London theatre) and saw the Stones in Shepherds Bush and both Wembley shows. So it must have been that year.
'98 was for me "the Stones in the Netherlands" with 5x Amsterdam and 1x The Hague. Off course I "did" several more concerts that year on "the Continent" as the British still call mainland Europe grinning smiley

I transcribed the RS band members comments,
Posted by: 35love ()
Date: August 5, 2018 02:10

from Havana Moon Cuba show 2016, shown today in USA on AXS channel.
After playing the song ‘Brown Sugar’, the movie cut video pictures of the show, while a beautiful captivating ‘Loving Cup’ studio track played in the background.
The 4 members spoke about each other without being on film/ faced.
I did my best here, old fashioned stop/ start/pause and write down,
I wanted to only write it as correctly as possible.

Mick: the poignant thing you can still be together 50 plus years, and still have a goal and achieve it.
If you’re going out there to get a response from the audience
which you see, you’ll see in these shows,
that’s what helps the band, you know, that’s what keeps it going!

Keith: We’re always trying to improve, but we sound better than ever right now, so good!
Charlie Watts is a superb drummer. He’s a charmer, and incredibly funny.

Mick: If you’ve ever tried to play the drums, I mean I like playing the drums sometimes, and.. you know I do it for 5 minutes and I’m absolutely knackered, I mean wiped out, um (breaks up laughing)
and I’ve got pretty good arms! I obviously don’t know how they do it!

Re: I transcribed the RS band members comments,
Posted by: 35love ()
Date: August 5, 2018 02:16

Charlie: The amazing thing with Mick is he’s the best one,
and the best looking one, at standing in front of an audience and doing whatever it is you know running here, turning there, and wiggling your arse bit of
He’s the best one of them.
And how very, um (significant pause)
concerned he can be about everybody.
I mean he was wonderful with Ronnie,
like he got (hope? not sure on word, sounds like hope)
from Ronnie
stopping drinking and that
and uh, Mick never did

(give up on Ronnie, I think he means)

Re: I transcribed the RS band members comments,
Posted by: 35love ()
Date: August 5, 2018 02:20

Keith: Ronnie, I mean, a little ball of energy.
Incredibly talented and enthusiastic.
And I admire the man. Very much.

Ronnie: What surprises me about Keith is
undying dedication.
When all is said and done, Keith just wants to deliver the song
at the right tempo,
with the right feel,
and that’s number 1 on his list.

Re: I transcribed the RS band members comments,
Posted by: 35love ()
Date: August 5, 2018 02:27

Charlie: He’s a one-off. (Keith)
He had a perfectly good trilby hat
I remember very well, perfectly good,
and he blew a bullet hole in it.
Now, why should do, to me, it’s horrifying.
(pause)
And why cut the sleeves of your shirts?
That’s Keith for you.
We all get on.
We all know,
what’s wrong with each other,
and what’s right with each other.
We wouldn’t be doing it now if nobody turned up for it,
so the audiences,
they help you do what you do immensely.
I mean, they keep bands like us together.

((that’s all I got, 35 out))
