Just saw it at the Odeon Covent Garden (which was the Seville Theatre where the band played in 1969 and where the Beatlea filmed the Hello Goodbye video. Loved the movie but the sound could have been a bit louder!!

I was at the same one, and definitely should have been louder. Definitely.
Looked great though.

Anyone knows which part the 'only in cinemas exclusive' part was, as the movie poster shows?

The interview with the Stones at the beginning of 'Havana Moon'.

I saw Havana Moon last night at la Geode in Paris.

La Geode is a spherical movie theater. The screen is huge and curved. The sound is prodigious.

The Stones are absolutely terrific. The Cuban audience is extraordinarily enthusiastic.

My friend and I had a blast and let the whole audience know it too!
My impression was that they used that same gimmicky sound thing that Scorsese did in Shine a Light,
where the instrument/voice on screen at any given moment gets louder for no reason at all.

The introductory interview was hilarious - three Stones looking bored silly while Mick answered all the questions
and then Keith and Charlie started interrupting with hilarious remarks. "We saw a band that was all drums and vocals - "
"As it should be!" announces Charles Watts :E :E :E

I expected more footage of the city, but maybe that's in Ole Ole Ole.
This one lets anyone still wondering know why the Stones wind up their shows with a run of huge thundering hits.
Irresistible energy shaking every tailfeather in town.

I love the Rolling Stones

Oh and I was wearing my Keith-as-Che tshirt! Best dressed sssoul in the place :E

Yes I really enjoyed the Havana Moon, Rolling Stones film in Manchester, England, it was almost like being at a "live" concert.. the sound was beautiful, loud and clear .. the band were as magnificent as ever... I couldn't believe it when some boring, bearded solo t__t a few seats away from me asked me to stop singing and be quiet... I just sang louder like everyone else around the cinema... I nearly had to rip his beard off on the way out but he didn't even look at me as I walked past him smiling...

"..till the next time..."

Went there yesterday with my wife, my son and "mi compadre" Harry!!

2 great hours, the interviews at the beginning and before the encore
are really heart-warming (and funny).

Highlights: Maybe the best (and longest) Rambler version in 20 years:
Before they speed it up again Keith is playing in front of Charlie, camera on Keith´s face.
He´s trying to see when Charlie speeds it up again. Blinking eye,
tongue out and off they go. FANTASTIC STUFF!

Another highlight: You Got The Silver. Goosebumps and wet eyes.

My son (16) said after the film: "I´m speechless. And I got goosebumps
several times!" --> So the film MUST be good!!!

Agree! One of the best concert films I've seen. A lot better than Sweet Summer Sun and a million times better than Shine A Light

SHINE A LIGHT the LP and movie, like DIRTY WORK, should be deleted from their catalogue!

My wife and I had great two hours.
I've noticed Keith did his left heel raise when he plays acoustic guitar. smiling smiley

+1
Funny that you also remarked this particular bit. I also saw Keith lifting up his left heel while playing You Got The Silver and it gave me a really big grin.

Apart from that, in this one cinema in Hamburg were about 100 people, but there were still some more (maybe 4 - 5) cinemas where the film was shown.

Well, me and my friends had a fantastic 2 hours. Quite in the beginning people where shouting "louder!", one guy went out to tell them directly to put the volume up, which they did. Overall sound apart from the volume was not brilliant but ok. The interview bit and the shots from Havana were really really good, much appreciated.

I have watched a lot of concert videos already and this was surely one of the better ones. The switch between the band and audience was just in the right balance. Also, I really love it that the band are not afraid of close shots which shows their wrinkles. Well, they are too long in the business to care about this I guess. Nice to see some half-backstage shoots or Mick / Keiths shirts hanging in line on stage several times.

Performancewise I was also really happy. Angie, Out of Control, Midnight Rambler were sublime and also Gimme Shelter. I really liked Sasha's performance very much.

Altogether it was a beautiful evening with my friends and the Stones!

Its great to hear about the experiences of everyone!

I am 26 and went with my father in Mexico City!

This is the band of the people. They were wearing stones clothes in the cinema and they also were singing. When the concert finished, they clapped!

Just came back home from the cinema in Buenos Aires! Had a great time with my wife, we both enjoyed the film very much! The sound wasn't loud enough! Very impressed with the footage. Hats off to the director, the audience and the Stones!

First time a Stones film with real Sound and ambience as at the show. I have been always be disapointed with the offical releases bevor. Glad to know that they release the whole show on cd with the dvd. I have been at the Hyde Park 1 concert in London but the Cinema experiance in Thun was somkind better. It was like Zurich 14. Strange that they are getting better with their age!!! Thanks to Cinema Rex Thun to bring this show even loud!!!. Hans

They are not playing better but perhaps in your mind you couldn't accept they are less good and at the end you think they are better. Why not, if you are feeling better yourself, good for you. I've seen "Havan Moon, it was very good but had time to fix all wrong thing like they did for the "Start me up" intro in Hyde Park". Anyway, "Havana Moon" was perfect and there was some real emotions in the eyes of Cubans.

To ourox58.Thanks to your psych analyses. I attended more then 25 shows since 1995 (first was London 16.7. 95. I even taped a lot of shows, so i can compare each tour by myself. Everbody knows that they did not play as good in 2005-2007. Even the Voodoo Lounge tour was not at this Level. At your point of view which tour was better??

Interesting, but 4 discs doesn't mean 4 DVDs. I bet it'll be 2 DVDs and 2 CDs
but a description from Eagle Rock would certainly be nice
