For the first time, I feel I have to get the hell out of here. I'm in Brittany now for the summer, but just as easily could have been at the fireworks display in Nice.

France has been under siege, especially in the last month. And it's hard to see that the police do anything except deal with the dead bodies.

Rihanna is safe but her concert of today in Nice has been cancelled.

My condolences and sympathy to everyone who suffered in this act of terrorism and of course all the French people. Hard to find the right words. I'm sad.

Horrible, awful news. My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victims and to all the people of France.

Very sad indeed. Unfortunately I can't say it's shocking anymore, I expect a new story like this, somewhere across the globe, at least once or twice a week now.

This is a political matter and hopefully Western peoples can formulate a strategy to deal with it.

There are unfortunately also foreign people who died, 2 Americans, 1 Russian, 3 Germans, 1 Swiss and others...
We also think of them.

When I was 17 I went to the UK and then France for the first time....taking an
over night train from London to Nice.

I spent a month in Nice, Beautiful...safe...tranquil...kindhearted people.

Seeing the Promenade and the arcades near the beach on television last night and the damage done to so many innocent human beings was...is heartbreaking.

No words ..................I'm out
