Thanks for the heads-up. I have been watching for it. I just read a book called 'Alan Klein'and that was an eye-opener. It was written with an eye for neutral observation. The guy was a crook but he also pulled off a few miracles for the Stones and other groups. BTW Chris,I received a copy of your book "James Dean Died Here." It was a fun read and I enjoyed the meticulous detail through-out. It ought to be in the Barnes & Noble stores.

The miracle of Klein, being that after 5 years of management, a lucrative record deal, great record sales and profitable tours they ended up with no monies in their personal accounts.
Oh, and owing a fortune in taxes.
And you can't blame the taxman for the situation they found themselves in. Other musicians were in the same boat and were properly managed.

Perhaps Ronnie's book will also give us more insights into how it happened and whether the group were given any opportunity to buy up Oldham's share of the various copyrights when he was selling them.

Just pre-ordered on Amazon.
Can't wait to read this one.
Preview looks fantastics.

Here's a great video of Ron talking about his career.
Very cool stuff here including stories about the 1965 US tour, horseback riding with Keith, etc.

GS1978 ()--let me know if you have a problem with Amazon. I had closed the pre-order on the 8th-I was worried about the Amazon(sales) and Ingram/Lightning Source (printer) interface and wanted time to make sure all was working...and thank you for the order and comments.

My pre-order still shows in "My Account" on Amazon but it states that they can't give a delivery date estimate as of yet. Unusual for Amazon Prime but not unheard of.

No problems so far Ron.

Amazon accepted my order, like "bleedingman" I initially got a message saying they can't estimate delivery date. Today I got an update saying my "new estimated delivery date is: Thursday, February 16, 2017."

$4.50 for my ticket for that show

Re: OOOH-Out Of Our Heads:The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Me

I've just done an inflation calculator which says that the $4.50 ticket as above, in 2016 values
=$29.43.

So either the 1969 ticket prices represented very good and/or fair value
OR
2016 ticket prices are a complete rip off on a gullible audience
OR
thanks to Government policies people have a lot more disposable income.

ANY VIEWS?

Shows are more expensive now.
I base that on the audience -- used to be young people went to see the Stones. Now young people have been priced out and replaced by older people who have the money.
I wonder what Sinatra charged back in 1969?

I have always held that we did not overcharge for tickets....

Are there any critics or book reviewers that you trust for Rolling Stones-Beatles-music memoir books?

How about Rich Cohen? I think you may already know him, but if not I have you his email.

Ronnie, I posted in another thread that the cover shot is fantastic; like a movie poster.
The only version I see on amazon goes for $70.
