Burton Cummings and the Guess Who were/are great.
They have so many great hit songs that it is hard to believe. I saw them in Barrie Ontario on a reunion tour way back when ever one time and we had great seats up front and they played awesome song after awesome song. I remember Burton's voice being very strong and Randy Bachman (Big ole Randy) doing a great job on guitar.
A few weeks back a friend of mine in Edmonton called me and told me a good story about how they had just seen Burton play a show at some local casino and he said it was a great show... and then after the show my friend spotted Burton sitting in the casino by a slot machine signing some stuff for fans, answering various questions and said Burton was a nice normal guy hanging out and chatting.
I think my favorite Guess Who song right now is Rain Dance

...although they have so many songs my favorites rotate.

Good article, although a mistake about Elvis on the first page. He also played Ottawa and Vancouver, his only 3 non American shows!

No, sweetie. Citizens of the United States of America are Americans. Many Europeans call the United States "America" which is a different thing than "North America" or "South America." Canada is decidedly not in America! Please don't give me an aneurism before I get out of bed!

Thanks Roller, the interview was excellent. I have seen Burton a couple times
in the last three or four years and he really delivers a fine show. He obviously
still enjoys performing and appreciates his fans.

His Facebook page is better than most, and he's something of an insomniac, so if you're up late, he'll probably be grateful to have someone to talk to.

One of my earliest, fondest memories of childhood was the complimentary 8-track that came with my parents' 1970/71 Oldsmobile 88 .. With the song, These Eyes.
I must have heard that song dozens of times on our first family road trip to California that year..
And of course, later I loved all those great hits.. She's Cone Undone, Laughing..
Anyone remember BC's solo single, Stand Tall.. My older cousin had that album
