"Mick Jagger dropped into the studio for some sessions. He said he was playing the guitar very loudly with John Lennon. Mick went on to say that Yoko "was really trying to sing properly. She's not screaming, she's really trying to sing."
"IS WINTER HERE TO STAY? was a jam with John and I, Elephant’s Memory,
and Mick Jagger, who visited the New York Studio one day. I think it was
very nice of Mick to have done it."

Looks like John and Mick each play a '58-60 sunburst Les Paul. Rock 'n' roll aristocracy.
Pretty rare with a band lineup including Mick on guitar but not on vocals. Did it ever happen in the Stones that he participated on an instrument but did not sing?

Really when you think about it, John's creativity just about died when he moved to NYC in late 1971.
I like Walls and Bridges (1974) but his other product was very inferior to his earlier work.
