Any clue to who might be the ones "many more to be announced" on Friday, October 28 together with Bill?

I've heard Peter Frampton will definitely be playing and so will Mick Taylor. Other Stones obviously will depend on the tour schedule.

Almost worth attending all nights: Bill, Bad Company and walter Trout

Bad Company was a favourit band of mine.
What is the line up this time?
Bassist Bozz Burrell died in 2006.
BAD CO. is a great Rock (and Roll) album!

The party must mean that Bill is recovering well from his cancer, a double reason to celebrate. I think if the other band members are available, they will be happy to attend. There doesn't seem to be any personal animosity between Bill and the boys. They complain about him still some, but he still gets invited to Stones events.

Accoding to a friend that knows Bill well he is taking the cancer diagnosis really well and is in good spirits.
He also told me how hurt Bill was with the way he was treated during the 50th tour.

Does that mean no Stones at the 80th gig?

Bill Wyman one of the all time great Bass players . The sound of his instrument hammering away at the low register of the sound meter is missed a lot by this stones fan .Nothing against Daryl Jones , he is not the one controlling the mix on the board . When i was a kid a long time ago there was a fan that seen the Stones live in the 60's and that is all he would talk about how BIG Bill's bass sound was , left an impression on my for sure

Well, the venue has only a 2350 capacity.
Pity they didn't go for a larger venue.

Would love to see him in O2 and join him in the O2 after-party location.
It look s very good the new after-party place, ready to party in O2.. smileys with beer

By the way, I saw the Mohammed Ali exhibition in O2 tonight.
Man he could talk and fight.

Ali should have quit after his last match with Leon Spinks.

I am presuming this event is to take place at the Indigo; theatre-sized venue, housed within the O2 Arena complex

Robert Plant joins the star-studded bill for Bill Wyman’s birthday gala at BluesFest at The O2, Greenwich

Former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has joined the mega line-up for a Greenwich concert celebrating the 80th birthday of one of south east London’s greatest sons.

Plant will play the Bill Wyman Birthday Gala, part of BluesFest, at IndigO2 on Friday, October 28, joining the likes of Mick Hucknall, Mark Knopfler and Imelda May.

The Rolling Stones former bassist Wyman was born in Lewisham and grew up Sydenham before finding fame with the rock and roll band, which he left in 1993.

BluesFest is set to take over The O2, IndigO2 and Brooklyn Bowl from Friday, October 28, to Sunday, October 30, and also features performances from Mary J Blige, Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, Bad Company and Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora.

BluesFest’s director Leo Green said: “This Bill Wyman concert is shaping up to be one of the gigs of the year.

“The addition of Robert Plant to an already monumental line-up is a clear indicator of the vast influence this incredible musician has had on the music world and we’re delighted that he’s chosen to celebrate this milestone birthday with us – who knows who else might turn up on the night to jump up on stage.

I've heard Jagger say in a few interviews that he still sees Wyman in London on a regular basis for dinner etc so he's just as likely to turn up for his old friend as Ronnie or Charlie will be.

Cheers,
Wuudy
