(unless he officially admits the Wyman screwed more chicks then Mick and Keith combined AND also admits that Wyman has written at least half of the Stones songs AND at least 60% of the riffs)

The Stones will be touring the States, so only Taylor will be available.

no end of love and respect for Bill. The band would have went nowhere without the original rhythm section, nor would they have evolved into the very best at what they do. I wish a few more of the latter day generations of fans would deeply understand how original and perfect he was, even tho they listen to him all the time, DJ is the face of the bass for them. sad really. Especially here where imho we should be so joyous and respectful and filled with love for Mr. Perks and his amazing performance on most all of the tracks that really elevated them into and beyond the stars. What he didn't cut in the studio, he Killed with live, as with SFTD and others.

Yup Bill is one of the greats. I can't understand any of this belittling stuff. He is an essential element in their golden era. Live he dictated the show and led the guitar section. Those who are critical of him or Mick Taylor drank the Koolaide.

I think we'll be surprised, happily, by the level of performers who will attend. Maybe the Stones, collectively, or individually, will send video greetings.

80th birthday....amazing...keep on rolling.

80 ! Hard to believe somehow, but great at the same time. I wish him all the very best from the bottom of my heart. I love Bill and miss him in the Stones.

For a decade long chain smoker he's in pretty good health.

I hope the others do show up. Charlie and Ronnie probably will, unless they're touring North America. But I hope the format isn't one of those 'let's get everyone on stage at the same time' set ups where you can't hear what individual musicians are playing.

All trace of this event seems to have vanished. Can anyone work out what's going on?

I know someone who works for Bluesfest. This event is definitely still on but Bluesfest aren't ready to announce their 2016 schedule until July. MT will likely be involved, as well as Peter Frampton.

No word yet on other Stones involvement, as it depends on the touring schedule.

The party must mean that Bill is recovering well from his cancer, a double reason to celebrate. I think if the other band members are available, they will be happy to attend. There doesn't seem to be any personal animosity between Bill and the boys. They complain about him still some, but he still gets invited to Stones events.

I've heard Peter Frampton will definitely be playing and so will Mick Taylor. Other Stones obviously will depend on the tour schedule.
