sh*t, b*gger, *rsehole, p*ss, c*ck, f*rt...somebody stole my horse 'n' cart !

I'm taking leave of this thread for the time being, it's getting very silly.

I'll come back when we're up at 100 odd pages of complete and utter nonsense relating to the (O I forgot - NON-EXISTENT) 2017 Rolling Stones tour of Europe ... !!

Ain't it time this thread was deleted ? I mean really ....... ! Why not start a new one when (heaven forbid) the band actually HAS plans to play/tour again ? When (or IF) that ever happens ...

You need to read between the lines...the devil is in the details...blah, blah, blah. winking smiley

From what I've gleaned so far (in chronological order):

- Possible European Summer tour.
- Contracts almost signed.
- Start saving money.
- Don't book any flights/hotels, etc
- All plans postponed.
- Possible European Fall tour.
- Start saving money.
- Don't book any flights/hotels, etc
- Depends on new album (which is going very slow).
- If new album (?) = possible tour of Europe.
- If new album (?) + possible tour of Europe (?) = possible return to the States.
- No real news, natives start getting restless.

And there you have it in a nutshell.
The next two years could be very exciting for Stones fans!

Likely the scenario will be this:

- New Album and European Tour 10 show in September/early November
- Australasian Tour 10 show in mid-end February/April 2018
- North American Tour 10 show in September/November 2018 or Feb./April '19

That's all!smoking smileythumbs upsmileys with beer

THERE IS NO MSG!! CAN'T YOU GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD. THEY DESTROYED IT SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND WAS REDESIGNED FOR CORPORATIONS, NOT PEOPLE!! BARCLAYS IS THE ONLY NYC ARENA. PERIOD!
The Stone Roses played there just last summer!

I agree, ever since they renovated the Garden the magic has been lost. There used to be a sense of intimacy within arena with the interior walkways.
But I have to disagree about Barclays being the best arena in the Metro area.
Unless you are on the floor or the lower level the sound is terrible there.
My pick is the Rock in Newark for arena shows these days.
I realized this after seeing the Stones at Barclays, then a week later at the Rock. Nicer security personnel and it was easy to move around the arena.

The Stones have not booked the NEW MSG and I want their history there to end with the old arena design. I don't consider The Rock a NYC arena.

Dreamtime indeed. They will play the ne MSG again

Yeah, most useless posts usually coming from you.

Sure ! And why not ? What are you then ? Captain f***ing Sensible !?

It seems wholly appropriate to comment on the total absurdity of a thread that is sixty odd pages long, entitled THE ROLLING STONES TOUR IN EUROPE 2017 - and contains precisely bugger all other than an insipidly worded comment somewhere or other a few pages back informing us that we can stop day dreaming and ruminating ... cos' there ain't even a tour in any case !

This obviously doesn't strike you as absurd ? Yeah well ... whatever ? Have a nice day !

ROFL.

Cheers,

They didn't play the old MSG since 11 years. Why should they play the new one?

Please stop discussing MSG here, they will never ever play there as part of a Tour in Europe. Not in 2017, not after.

Agreed, and all speculation aside, there is no evidence at present to suggest they will be touring Europe in 2017 or after either.

And it's the same reason they never played Long Island. When it comes to NY they know what's cool and what's not!

There is no change here except the fact that the tour will be in the fall and not in the summer. Still in Europe.

Can anyone offer any concrete reason why the tour was pushed back to the fall? Fall of 2017 will be approximately 1 1/2 years since they last played live (Cuba). Doesn't seem fit with the touring schedule they've been keeping since the 50 and counting tour. For a bunch of guys on borrowed time, they do seem to be taking their time.

Five shows on paper, but two of them were private shows with abbreviated set lists (14 songs), then the final official show in Vegas which was also a bit abbreviated due to Mick being sick (18 songs), and the Desert Trip shows (20 songs each). Statistically those five shows average out closer to only four shows...a true 'Mini Tour' by any definition. Difficult to fathom that might be their last US run, but after Europe, maybe they'll come back here and deal with some unfinished business.
