Yes, it has been established it's definitely him. Which is pretty great.

...how come this guy stands out among the crowd while JT was a midget?
Did he spend the show perched atop an empty crate of beer?

Everyone around him seems taller, maybe they were standing on a small elevation in the field?

Have seen this pic several times before and this was always my thought too.

No disrepect for JT (the guy could make a guitar sing like nobody else) but he was about 5'5'.

I've read somewhere that he was probably sitting on somebody's shoulders, so that's why he looks taller. I could only find this old thread about the same subject: [www.iorr.org]

It could be anyone. There's a bloke in the Hyde Park 69 video that looks like Andy Summers from the Police. But it's probably not him. And there's a bloke in The hyde park 2013 vid who look like The Scarf and I am 100 percent certain it is him.

Johnny played with Gang War at Heat in Tribeca in 1979. A certain mr Iggy Pop came out for an encore duet. That was moi slakka trying to pull Ig into the audience. Don’t know why. Just wanted to be closer I guess.

It could be Summers. He played with Eric Burdon and the Animals about that time.

It is Johnny in the Gimme Shelter movie, he told it himself
while watching it with a friend of me who played with him
during the eighties.
