OT: Pink Floyd 50th anniversary to be commemorated in set of new UK stamps

Pink Floyd are to be honored in a series of stamps depicting their most famous album covers and pictures of them playing live.

The set will be released on July 5.

Any Stones' fans feel a little miffed that our heroes were never honoured in the same way? I mean, I love Pink Floyd but to choose them over the Stones as cultural icons in their own country of origin? There's something wrong there.

More details here. [www.mojo4music.com]

Stamps. Hmmm. Maybe i could stick a Piper one on a letter to Pink Floyd Limited asking them to speed up the Syd's Pink Floyd Immersion Box.

Taxpayers money wasted on those shits...I don't believe it.
What's next? Emerson Lake and Palmer? Caravan? Incredible String Band? Coldplay?

'Let It Bleed' was one of the 10 stamps featured on the Classic Album Covers issue back in 2010.

Pretty damn cool. This makes me want to be British. They also offer a special Syd Barrett cover, among other extras:

They should do stamps featuring John and Yoko's Two Virgins album cover photo
Or make a series to include also:
-the original Beggars Banquet sleeve
-the Blind Faith album cover
-the Velvet Underground banana cover
and of course Sticky Fingers
