That is how it can go in Football. Germany had almost 70% possession, but could not produce enough chances. I guess they were missing real forwards / attackers..... specially when Gomez got injured. If you go to a tournament without attackers!!!!

First goal - penalty or not, I did not see it close enough, but when Schweini did not complain, it was probably OK.

Second goal - what happened in the German defense!!!! That was a bummer. After that Germany slowed down, but still in charge of the game. France did not want to play.

Final on Sunday. Based on the semi-final, France and Portugal, two teams reluctant to play football, only god knows what will happen, hopefully not dreadful boring....

Well done France. Germany should have made more of their possession in the first half and were missing a true centre forward/strikers. That is what they will now be working on ahead of the World Cup.

Those neutral viewers who did not have any preference for any team, certainly could
enjoy last night's game. It was a fight, worthy to be the final. A clash between two
ways of playing, like a clash between Atletico and Barcelona, or Spain against Italy.
It's not satisfying that the team that relies on defending and counter-attacking most of the
times win these games. But that said, I think France was definitely fighting and pushed
Germany in a defensive role at times.
And yeah, like many said before, Germany missed an effective forward player. And that
was not the first time this tournament. Remember Poland? Remember Norther Ireland?

I think the coach of Portugal had a bad night after last nights game.

Yes, Portugals coach must be worried after seeing the effectivity of France.
So far Portugal only had to face up against Iceland (draw), Austria (draw), Hungary (draw),
Croatia (1-0 after 117 minutes), Poland (draw) and Wales (their first win in normal
playing time).
None of the teams Portugal played so far has shown the class France put on the field
in their games. I guess the Portuguese coach is rather nervous about that.
