Something else I wanted to add about the element of "danger" you mentioned. There was a time, 1969 to be precise, when the warhorses were new songs. In '69 most of the setlist was devoted to new material, tracks taken from Beggers, which was only a year old, and LIB which I don't even think was in the stores until after the tour ended. The only "oldies" were Satisfaction, Under My Thumb, I'm Free and Carol. That's because, and rightly so, they felt very stongly about their new material. That has happened only ONE time since. In 1978 when they went out and played almost every song on Some Girls. SG tracks made up half the setlist that year. They played SG and maybe half a dozen warhorses and not much else, because, again, rightly so, they felt very stongly about their new material. The fact that they are only doing 4 of the 16 new ones this time out is not a very good sign. Clearly, they don't feel all THAT strongly about this one.
