I must admit I hadn't really checked her out as a solo artist prior to the show, so I went there (with RobberBride from IORR) without high expectations.

The guitar player who had arranged all the songs was the mastermind behind the band's sound. He played some weird instruments, with which he did lovely things – especially with his acoustic guitars and bouzokis.

Then came Lisa: Humble, sweet and very observant. Right from her first note, when she was really just doing warm-up for her voice, I sensed that this would be a special night.

The setlist consisted mainly of cleverly arranged rock songs, but this was not a rock concert. Not at all. On the contrary, brilliant songs like Miss You, Jumping Jack Flash and Gimmie Shelter were almost like brand new songs. Powerful, atmospheric, hauntingly beautiful and confusing. It was just brilliant.

Lisa is a fantastic vocalist. She's quite a charmer, too. The moment of the night was when Lisa came down from the stage, picked up RobberBride and danced with him



I can easily say that the Gimmie Shelter-version was among the best I've ever heard. It was goosebumps all over.

Lisa was definitely under-utilised with the Stones. What she can do with her voice is seemingly without boundaries. I loved the way she used two mics (one with delay/reverb and one dry), mixing the signals after how she used her voice. She also sang a lot just out in the room. As my seat was first row, I heard everything, but I'm pretty sure the people in balcony heard her, too.

respectfully disagree.....I miss original Lisa.....I like to remember Lisa 94-99......before the horrible opera notes on satisfaction.....and the yoko screaming on shelter (washington 2013 if you need and good example)

Sasha is much better in 2016,,,,,but no one can top Lisa 94-99

But she was simply a backup singer...anything more would have been over the top imo.
She already had a 'lead' spot on Gimme Shelter, something she took advantage of with her operatic wailings.
She was at her best when she blended in with the rest - just as a great backup singer should.
