Seems Mick saw Ana Moura in concert in London a few days ago according to her Facebook page. She wrote:

I have tickets to see her in the USA in next week. I have always enjoyed listening to her sing Fado. I discovered her thru the Stones when she sang at their concert in Lisbon.

Does that mean we can expect some fado music on next Stones album?

I read today that Ana Moura is now Mick's 'protegée'. His 26 year old ballerina gf was quick to reassure everyone that she and Mick are still an item.

The new song will be Fado Sugar.

Prince was also a fan of Ana and went to her gigs.

She certainly is a beautiful girl with loads of talent.

She is very talented and has a nice voice, really committed to her craft.

Thanks to Mr Spotify, am currently listening to her 2013 album Desfado.
Its lovely, superb vocals and very tasteful instrumentation.
Perhaps Mick can develop his range and introduce some Fado influence on the new album. Unlikely of course.
Mick and the other Stones became aware of Ana via Tim Ries.
2007 I think, so this us no new interest.
I am prejudiced. Portugal is my favourite European holiday destination.

I think you were just trying to be decent and protect people. That's commendable, IMHO. Now, I don't want to be rude myself. But sometimes I miss these details from the gossip columns. Mick's girlfriend is 26 years old? Hot damn, that's why he's Jaguarillo and I'm not!

I have tickets to see her on Thursday, she is playing in Bethesda, near Washington, DC. I will post a report of the concert.
