Missed these while I was out and about (though even at this price it would likely still be money down the drain)

General Admission $125.00 GA 2 09/28/2016
General Admission $119.00 GA 1 09/28/2016

let's face it,rock and roll is the jazz of the modern day and nobody gives a shit but older fans[spare me the story about someones 22 year old who loves let it bleed].we get taken for a ride because most people over 35 or 40 are pretty well established and have a few extra bucks to blow on a concert but it's gotten old,the gravy train is coming to an end.

these shows are getting discounted because everybody has seen these bands 10 times and for 10 times less.

there is absolutely no buzz in vegas for the shows there,to us it's a big deal.a four show tour and something we jump at,to the rest of the world it's a bunch of guys in there 70's who haven't had a hit record in decades charging $750 a ticket,it's laughable.

they'll do the smoke and mirrors thing again but the truth is half the arena is on the scalper sites and the other half is getting handed out by casino hosts.

Right on the money Lem Motlow, No gibberish here. Truer words haven't been spoken in a while. This is reality even if it doesn't gibe with our fanatical outlook. This is where the years of goodwill built up by Springsteen really feel good and the years of getting taken to the cleaners by our heroes really starts to make me question my devotion. I'm going to Vegas for the second show and may make a last second move on the first weekend of the desert, but the days of moving heaven and hell and no mountain is too large to climb are well in my rear view at this point.

La Quinta Resort is a shuttle stop, but not a Park & Ride. I wonder if you jump on at one stop if the shuttle goes around to all the stops? If so it might be a good way to meet, that way we can go onto the venue from there. I might message the promoter with that question.

great, please do and let us know

OK, this is their response to my inquiry:

Thanks for reaching out. We have a number of different shuttle lines for our Any Line, Anytime Shuttles so that we can get guests to the festival with as few stops as possible. The La Quinta line only stops at that resort and the festival itself. So, you won't be able to meet your friends on the shuttle unless they drive and park at your park and ride location. The shuttles all drop off in the same area of the festival grounds so it might be easier to try and meet up there. Let me know if you have any further questions and I hope you have a great time at the festival.

So maybe we just try to meet inside the venue. The whole city area will probably be a madhouse with everyone driving around. My friend and I are going to eat lunch at Ruby's Diner, as we will be coming from that direction.

On another note, it is supposed to be a little cooler next week, is forecast for 90 high, 62 low, 21% humidity. There have been a bunch (20+) of small earthquakes in the area that last couple of days, but since this is on a level polo field, it shouldn't affect us.

Thanks for that Woz thumbs up- I might purchase shuttle now for Weekend 1 as I see the PALM DESERT LINE stops at Albertsons which is next door to the Embassy Suites I'm staying at.
Weekend 2 I'm pretty much walking distance (about 1 mile away) - was lucky to get a room at Indian Palms Country Club Hotel before they jacked up the prices and/or it sold out!
