Stones on BBC new headlines 2 days in a row

When was the last time the Stones made the BBC TV news headlines 2 days in a row?

Friday morning we had a segment of them arriving in Cuba and video of the concert area.

Saturday morning we had video of the gig itself, fans etc.

I can't remember when the band got 2 headline spots on UK national TV (and every UK newspaper) like this - maybe some drugs bust years and years ago?

A very smart piece of PR, probably globally, as well as an historic gig.

Here in The Netherlands too and in Belgium also.

However, much more important than PR, it really was a cultural event!

Sorry to digress but isn't the little red smiley actually gleefully giving the finger in stereo?
I know some people use it to mean amused agreement with whatever is above, but ... [peering hard]
it's gleefully giving the finger in stereo

The stones got quite a lot of news coverage on several days when the played Hyde Park 3 years ago but you can never have too much it's better than the regular news.

Nate thumbs up
