Anyone know where I can find the vinyl edition in the US. One of the Amazon was says vinyl but when you click on it the set is way too cheap and doesn't say vinyl.

I was a bit miffed with Amazon on the last release of the vaults release, promised on the release day and got it two days later, this was for the Leeds DVD.

To be fair its the only time it has happened.

Looks like that version only comes with one DVD, weird.

What was shown on American TV was slightly different than what was shown in other countries. A few songs were different. So there are at least 2 versions of "Stripped" that were broadcast in the world and maybe more.
I am going to go out on a limb here and bet that what we will get is the full length documentary, unedited, plus a number of out-takes as bonus video tracks.
It does not seem likely that a brand new version of this would be produced from scratch when there is one already fully produced sitting on the shelf for 20 years...

As far as I can read out of the tracklist on the live-cd, Gimme Shelter are going to be the same majestic version already released on the EU "Wild Horses" single and the "Saint Of Me" single, right?

since Gimme Shelter was only performed once during the stripped shows, there's no other possibility!

The version on the Wild Horses single is shortened and runs a little faster than the complete version from the Stripped video

I would say $100 is a bit overpriced @ amazon.com

Consider this: in UK you can get it for £34.99 (appr. $51) and for best part of EU in a range of 44-48 EUR (appr. $49-54).

Even Japanese set with bonus disc (4DVD+2CD+T-shirt) from amazon.co.jp is not that expensive - JPY 16,299 (appr $150) including import taxes + S&H.

Well, it is possible that European or Japanese DVD would not play in the US on regular players - but this is different story.

Ok so the french fan club just revealed the contents of the DVD docu. Here's my translation.

The sequences are in chronological order: first the studio recordings from Tokyo (nothing from Lisbon), then Paradiso, Olympia and finally Brixton.

It starts with an introduction about the Voodoo Lounge tour. Throughout the documentary, numerous unreleased-before interviews of the band, the technical crew (Don Was, Mark Fisher...) and other musicians (Bobby Keys...).

This new version [of the documentary] offers more live titles that the 1995 version.

Don't buy it.

Jump On Top Of Me and Still A Fool are on bootleg. Both rare ofcourse, but not great performances. I understand they did not release them.
A few incomplete scenes from the songs would have been nice though.

I already ordered my 4 DVD + CD box on bol.com.

At least the Studio version of 'Jump On Top Of Me' was officially released on Sept 26, 1994 as B-Side of the 'You Got Me Rocking' Single and again in 2011 with the Singles Box Set (1971-2006).

Edit: 'Jump On Top Of Me' and 'Still A Fool' were played live on May 27, 1995 at Paradiso #2: [www.iorr.org] , but the DVD/Blu-ray is from Paradiso #1, May 26, 1995. Therefore 'Can't Get Next To You' (Live version) and 'Before They Make Me Run' are also missing on DVD/Blu-ray.
