Blueranger
An 'important' note:

The 3 concerts are NOT THE SAME as on the DVD / Blueray's from last year.
Several cues are longer, compared to the film's.
Also, 'Beast Of Burden' from Amsterdam has some kind of edit in the film, that does not appear on the audio. More on this later. My guess is that it is just the tip of the iceberg.

Same with the intro on RTJ.

The Stones did it again ... I bought mp3s of songs I already have ...

- Paris has the best sound / mastering I think.
- Amsterdam is nice.
- Brixton has a weak recording / mastering compared to the others.

opinions ?

How can you discuss recording / sound quality when you only have mp3 quality?

Nevertheless, IMHO Olympia has the best "balanced" Sound, Paradiso is more "raunchy", especially Keith´electric guitar. Brixton has got the "thinnest" Sound, but still very, very good.

You can hear whether something is poorly recorded, even though information is missing within the total soundscape. It's the latter that makes mp3 poor.

There is saying that people over 40 do not hear the "missing information" anyway. A good encoded 320mp3 is 90% as good as a wav-track, at least to my ears...

On a big sound system you'll hear a remarkable difference. On the phone with earbuds, not so much. With a Bose headset, yes, you'll notice the difference.

Sure you can compare them when listening on the same equipment.
I stream them to my hifi system with a chromecast audio.

CDs sound "better" but I tend to belive it's the digital-to-analog converter or/and the preamplifier.

Yes exactly what I thought.
I bought only Paris & Amsterdam for now after listening on my chromcast.

Ok, so the first Stripped was released in 1995.

Totally Stripped then came out last year, in it's various formats.

Now we have the Amsterdam, London, and Paris concerts on Spotify / Tidal / ITUNES etc: will they come out on CD, I wonder ?

Thoughts, please.

Funny to notice that the edits are different comparing the download versions of the shows and the dvd version.

The download of the Paris show is 7 minutes longer compared with the dvd.
The downloads of Amsterdam & London show are both 7 minutes shorted compared with the dvd.

the latter seems to make sense – as far as I remember the DVD of the London show beginns with some backstages scence (the band on their way to the stage). I won'† make sense to put these scence on an audio recording

The 7 minutes shorter is not the backstage stuff what you are taking about.
I'm talking about only the audio rip of the show

So I haven't listened to this since it came out and I haven't watched the BlueRay's since I got them late last year....although I remember being most impressed with watching the Amsterdam show.

So yesterday Miss You from the Totally Stripped CD comes up and on shuffle on my iPhone. So being a fan since somewhere between The release of Love you Live and Some Girls, hearing Miss You again probably would get a long standing fan's attention, but this version from Braxton is outstanding, the band is on fire.

So I went to iTunes (cuz I'm lazy) and downloaded the songs I didn't have, Monkey Man, Shattered, and a few others....their cover of Down in the Bottom is off the charts good.

Just thought I'd share how this band's music can creep up on you and pounce with a new surprise at the most unexpected moments.

BTW these shows, as most well know are stupidly good.

the shoot 'em dead, brainbell jangler!

Oh right - they can't - it's not there.

Just saw on Nico Zentgraf's page. Totally Stripped - Paris' (Eagle Rock). Audio-release of the DVD. Worth downloading? I mean, any material on this audio that's not on the DVD?
