One of the greatest footballers there ever was. He had a vision of how football should be played in the future and was instrumental in bringing in 'total football' whereby players could be interchangeable in any position on the field.

I was lucky enough to see him when Ajax beat Panathanaikos in the European Cup Final at Wembley in 1972. RIP Johann Cruyf.

A true Great. Saw him in his twighlight playing days with Feyenoord (a team which featured a young Ruud Gullit). Thanks for the breath-taking moments.

IMO the greatest European player of all time (no mean feat when you consider players of the calibre of Beckenbauer,Charlton,Best,Zidane etc)

I was really fond of this great player and his wonderful Dutch team in the 70's.

RIP Johan Cruyff, the greatest soccerplayer ever and a real down to earth man.
I consider myself lucky to have seen him play. Unforgettable.

My condolences; all of the greats are up there, I guess it is naturally to say Pele was the best; but they are all up there and basically, that's with more modern times.

Erg jammer, een fantastische kerel , eigenwijs. Great Bloke, unique in his own power. Holland has lost a great bloke. In fact, the whole world has lost a great person.
