If The Stones Toured The Caribbean

A little suprised that Friday's show is the first ever in the Caribbean. Seems like a tour there would be easy on the body. Keith could finally play out his Pirates Of The Caribbean fantasy in real life.

They could do a nice little tour:

Trinidad
Barbados
Virgin Islands
Jamaica (at least shows in Kingston and Montego Bay, and maybe Negril)
Dominican Republic
That place Clapton does his Drug Rehab shows (Guadeloupe?)
The Bahamas
Johnny Depp's private island

Just took a long walk listening to Goats Head Soup...dreaming of a week at the beach on a lounge chair with a cold drink nearby. The Stones in the Caribbean? Yeah, I could do that.

In a nice, comfy resort, away from the locals

The Caribbean is not heavily populated really. Bahamas 300,000 people spread out on 800 islands, may be 10,000 or 20,000 would come to a show in Nassau but that would have been a cruise ship sort of show.

They did play San Juan Puerto Rico ahead the Rio show in 2006. They might have played DR but again for many tourists.

It would be cool! I think though there wouldn't be the huge crowds they would want to make it economically viable. They could do Aruba, Granada, Tobago, Trinidad, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Barbados. Those would all probably work with audience draw.

No $$$ to be made except they did play Puerto Rico..the islands are very poor except for tourist economy. Maybe the Atlantis complex for the wealthy.

Maybe they could be the house band on a blue-rinse ship cruise around the Carribbeans ....

Nassau,Bahamas as I said above for the Atlantis...Jamaica would be cool, but no $$$ and dangerous downtown Kingston. Other islands too small...

Other than Jamaica (too dangerous. Even Keith said that's why he sold Point of View) and P.R., perhaps the only place that could accommodate them would be the Dominican Republic at one of their baseball 'stadiums'. Now, would you consider Florida part of the Caribbean? I would thumbs up.

No, it isnt part of the British Commonwealth. That group of nations' consists of former colonies that have retained the Queen as the Head of State; Canada, Jamaica, etc. Bermuda is a British overseas territory.
